The other day I found myself 'inadvertently' eavesdropping on the conversation of some two young men. They were talking about Aids, sex and marriage.

A relationship can not be properly built and nurtured with only one “hand”, one person. In order for a relationship to work with optimal success, there must be frequent and sufficient help and input. There must be honest non-critical and loving feedback on a continual basis.

All emotion is only half the truth, an illusion; a complete lie. Life is balanced, we distort it by projecting out opinion onto it. We interpret it with our ego and spin it left or right and therefore emotionalise it. By emotionalising things, we can make it safe. And from a love aspect, then we see where we are – out of integrity – and could bring our ego back to balance, if we chose to.

Perhaps it’s because life has become easier over the years or perhaps it’s just because people have higher expectations than they did in the past but whatever the reason one of the most common marriage problems is to bail out when the going gets a little tough.

You walk hand in hand, talking about how lucky you both are to be together. You introduce one of your male friends to him. As you continue to walk, you notice that your boyfriend seems upset. He starts accusing you of flirting. You dismiss his argument as unreasonable and unfounded. He hits you.

Many people have deeply loved someone long after that person was not in their lives anymore. I have been through this, and I know how difficult it can be.

A parent should never outlive their child. It should somehow be made into a law.

The wandering man is a real problem for many women. A man can feel challenged by other women, afraid of how close your relationship is turning, and a man can also feel unneeded or unwanted at home.

There have been volumes written about the differences between men and women. We clearly handle things differently. But, when it comes to matters of the heart; emotions are universal - A tear is a tear is a tear!

A couple, as man and woman, will share feelings and each other constantly during a relationship. Often times a man can become self centered, distant and uninterested in what you do or how you are.

Lonely. That's what Janette felt when her husband didn't kiss her goodbye before leaving for work. Sometimes his forgetfulness in this area brought her to tears.

One of the partner is a genius and the other could barely pass through the exams. How do such relationships develop and how do they survive? Such relationships developed because both loved each other because of the differences.

Spring is here and as we prepare to do our annual spring-cleaning of our house, we should be sure and clean out our relationship closet as well.

Unfortunately, domestic violence is very much alive and well - and thriving. According to the National Victims Center, one woman is raped every minute, and 30% of all women murdered in this country are murdered by their boyfriends or husbands.

Remember that the other person you're involved with is not you. So, how do the ways he or she is different from you make your life easier, more fun, better?!

This is a series of short articles about men and their preferences. Men are not difficult beings, or the enemy, as some women would like us to belief. They are simply different. By understanding and accepting their men, women can save their relationships and keep their sanity.
