Business Intuition: Avoiding the Cosmic 2 x 4's
What’s a cosmic 2 x 4 you ask? It’s actually a phrase that’s been used in the ‘new age/ metaphysical’ world for the past 15 years or more. It refers to the lessons we learned the hard way when we didn’t listen to our intuition. In the process of our intuitive development, we learn to listen more deeply and follow the guidance that comes from within. Because conscious awareness is building during that time, whenever we choose not to listen and go against our intuition, the lessons learned seem twice as powerful and painful than if we had listened.<
d, as much as you love spaghetti, do you really want to deal with talking while not slurping your pasta? Likewise anything else that's messy. Any food eaten with your hands is off limits and having a napkin doesn't change that. And small bites make conversation easier.

Some also say that if the food isn’t cooked to your liking, don't send it back

What Marketing Communications Should A Global Energy Supplier Such As BP Really Use?
What communications solution would I recommend to address these issues?Energy Suppliers such as BP have significant issues and challenges by the nature of their business. Firstly driving competitive advantage is a principle issue as there is intense competition between Energy companies: Shell, ExxonMobil, Total, Gas and Electricity suppliers and now alternative technologies like solar and hydropower.Secondly there is the problem of environmental-friendliness. Due to their effect on third-world countries, non-renewable resources, pollution, politics and co
Meal interviews are multi-tasking nightmares. Although the primary purpose is the interview, there's a secondary purpose to these mind-your-manners interviews: how well do you handle yourself during a business meal? During the course of my career I’ve seen quite a few ghastly faux pas that have nixed an otherwise capable candidate. So follow these pointers and mind your manners!

    • Drinking - No. Not even if the interviewer does. You want to add a third complication to the mix? An interview, a meal....and alcohol? Most people can handle one drink, but that's not the point. You need to be clear, concise and focused. This company hasn’t hired you; this company is deciding if they want to hire you. If your host or hosts order you a drink, don’t make a fuss; drink it slowly or leave it sit. But only have one and only under those circumstances.

Alcohol can very easily cause you to forget that a decision hasn’t been made, leaving you with the feeling that you’re the guy, you’re the one, you’ve got it in the bag. If you feel that’s the case, you probably don’t have the job. Drinking on an interview is bad form and can lead to assuming a casualness and camaraderie that doesn’t exist.

    • Food Choices - Should you order what the interviewer does? Some say yes. I say, who cares? If it sounds good, order it. If it doesn’t, order something else. On the other hand, as much as you love spaghetti, do you really want to deal with talking while not slurping your pasta? Likewise anything else that's messy. Any food eaten with your hands is off limits and having a napkin doesn't change that. And small bites make conversation easier.

Advertising Balloons Generate Sales and Traffic
An advertising balloon is a little known method to promote products, events and services. Advertising balloons are not only inexpensive, but also very efficient in conveying messages. It is just like having your own huge billboards, scattered across the city, but at a very low cost! Due to their lower running costs, advertising balloons are increasingly getting popular, to propagate marketing ideas and concepts. When you hoist a stunningly beautiful balloon on your roof or in the sky, you are also telling other people that your business is ready

        Large Helium Balloons for Advertising
Jackyln is an executive for one of the largest companies in the mid-West. After the recent major between another firm in the Upper East Coast of Manhattan, the CEO wanted to go national. This meant Jacklyn and the others in the department will have to do a lot of advertising to capture the market. Since the budget for this to happen did not get any increases, this made it more challenging to accomplish the desired objective.Driving home from work, Jacklyn saw one shop that was using an inflatable balloon. The establishment had a promotional sale and this h

Invention Marketing and Licensing for the Inventor
There are a lot of less than forthright organizations that allegedly help individuals sell their inventions to industry. In all my years of working as a patent lawyer, I have never come across a single person who ever used one of these organizations to effectively market or sell their invention. However, I have met several who successfully marketed their inventions themselves. Before you take any steps to market your invention, you should take a few preliminary steps.Preliminary Patent Search - A preliminary patent search is generally a good first step.

        The Adventures of Wolley Segap-Powerless
I wasn’t facing a severe problem until the sun went down. It was nightfall and now, I was forced to light a bunch of dusty old candles and place them around the living room. The power had been out for several hours now and I was getting pretty grumpy. Besides the lack of air conditioning, I missed my television and microwave. Yes, I had checked the fuse box and called a few neighbors, only to discover that I was the lone loser on the street. Nothing worked. I kept the fridge closed to preserve what little cold food I had. I felt isolated and cheated of my favorite th

Some also say that if the food isn’t cooked to your liking, don't send it back. I say, "bother that" also. As long as you are gracious and polite, if you don't like your tuna rare and didn't order it that way, send it back.

Don't order the most expensive thing on the menu. Don't slurp your soup. Spoon it away from you as you eat, and when you’re done, it goes on your plate. Skip the garlic steak! No elbows on the table - left arm stays on your lap; right arm holds your fork. That's your bread plate to your left, and your water glass to your right. Don't bite hunks of your roll off - break it into pieces and butter the pieces as you eat them. When you're finished, don’t stack your dishes!

If in doubt, instead of looking lost and wondering what to do, just smile and relax a minute. Follow your interviewer's lead.

      • Dessert and Coffee - Like drinks, you'll be asked first. If you want either or both, ask your interviewer. If they're partaking, fine. If they aren't, pass. First, he may not want either. Secondly, he may be done with the interview. It's not your place to hold things up while your interviewer sits there watching you eat and either continues the conversation or has to continue the conversation because you ordered a last course.

      • A Word on Paying - It's smart to bring cash (cash!) and be prepared to pay, but don't be expected to, and don't offer! The interviewer is the host, and he pays both bill and tip. On the o
