Ask for references in your size and type of business. Smaller providers may only be able to get close but that is OK. You’re concerned about how, not what, service is provided. Ask the references for other reference back to the provided that they did not provide you with. That is where you may get your best information. But in all fairness, remember the old adage “You can’t make all of the people happy all of the time.”Technology. Is the provider up to date on payroll technology? New England area is experiencing some good economic rebounding finally. Those markets, which involve larger consumer items are finding life a little tough, smaller manufacturers are waiting for orders and everyone is waiting on cash flow in the New England rural areas and cities under 150,000 which is nearly every city in NH, VT and ME and that 85% of the cities (calling a city that which is over 10K pop.) in CT, RI and MA. In some NH cities those involved in custom manufacturing are talking in terms of a “Train Wreck” when discussing the economic calamity. They were being promised by the Democrats who wanted a good showing in the NH primaries complete economic recovery, not sure how that was going to happen. Why is politics so important to these issues? Well because the rhetoric and bullshit has a lot to do with consumer sentiment and spending behavior. Since Summer is here now the New England area is happy to have the big events such as Bike Week, which brings in 2 million dollars to local rural areas. The forth of July will also help out. The charge of customers always come out of the wood work for Memorial Day with excellent cooperation on weather. One regional factory store group has been very excited as were the regional malls and Lobster tail and hotdog carts on board walks and tourist areas.The restaurants have not seen a huge rebound and the hotel industry now that weather is better are feeling a little safer but they feel that the uncertainty is the worst. How To Build A Global Brand
One of the most exciting efficiencies in business is the Global Brand. A global brand allows tremendous economies of scale, especially in marketing communications investments. However, these economies of scale can only be achieved, if brand impact is not sacrificed in the process.Doesn’t this seem to be a contradiction in terms? How can Brand, which is typically optimized for a specific market and a specific offering be implemented across widely different countries and work equally hard for all of the markets and for all of the offerings?After all, countries are different. They have different histories and cultures. So a brand that is designed for one country may is typically not suitable for another. Is it at all possible to overcome this problem? How do we build a global brand without making it unsuitable for some markets?Yes. It is possible. It requires a great deal more discipline, both for developing the brand positioning architecture that is suitable for all countries, and for developing the brand design elements and brand communications in each country for each product offering. Let us make it difficult, by developing a global positioning for a brand that is associated with such different product offerings in different countries, and support it with brand design elements and brand communications that can harness local cultural idioms.The foundation of a global brand positioning must penetrate below all the layers of cultural differences to foundational human values and aspirations.
