To Blog Or Not To Blog
Is that a question? The act of blogging or, putting out personal, private, community or sub-cultural information, thoughts, opinions and communication for the masses is by no means a new idea. People have been forcing their opinions down other people’s throats since the dawn of man and the development of language and the written word. Beginning with writing on stone tablature to record accounting of goods and services to monks scribbling scripture to the invention of typesetting and the newspaper to radio to television to the Internet, human beings have wanted to express themselves verbally to a mass audience in order to effect change or simply stir things up. Blogging allows for the small, insignificant individual to bring to the world wide web his or her thoughts, musings and beliefs for bette

    Effective Exhibiting
Exhibiting can be a great form of Direct Marketing and if you can get your exhibition stand set-up correctly, i.e. in the right place, with the right staff, offering the right service etc, then the benefits can be even greater. So what are the important considerations and what should one try to do?LOCATION and SPACE Do everything you can to get a spot where you will be noticed and ensure that you are aware exactly of how much space you will have, so that you can effectively plan your stand design.STAFF It may sound strange to say but use the right staff. This is a sales environment and the face-to-face nature of the exhibition may offer some excellent opportunities. Staff should be well trained in preparation for the exhibition and they should be dressed appropriately (a
When you publish a content site there are times when affiliate products are not the only products you want to recommend.

    Situations when you'll find you'll want to promote a non-affiliate businesses' product(s).

So you'll have to set out to ask permission to do so.

And when you request to use other businesses' copyrighted material, such as graphics or content, you want to be certain to receive a reply back as fast as possible, don't you?

    Absolutely!

Then there are several things you must be aware of.

What must you be aware of?

You must be aware that there are various reasons why you may receive a slow response. Or never receive a response at all. And here are the reasons why:

    1. The prospect is very busy and does not have time to respond to you promptly.

    2. In connection with #1, the prospect is busy, means to reply, delays, and then forgets.

    3. The prospect may have to do a little research to find out if you are able to use the material since it may not actually belong to the company itself.

    4. The answer to your request is "no."

After you understand all of those reasons there is one very important factor that could help you receive a quicker response.

And that is making it as easy as possible for your prospect to answer your request.

The less work he has to do, the faster the reply will come.

Typically speaking, if you request to feature material (of another business) on your website, most intelligent parties will realize it is free advertising for them.

But they still want to be particularly certain that your website is of high caliber.

Since the image of your website reflects on their business.

So you MUST give your prospect every reason in the world to say "yes" to your request.

And how do you do that?

    1. Own a high quality website.

    2. Inform him that is it FREE advertising for his business.

    3. Include a link to your website in your email. And then call attention to your website address. (Offer an example page [if possible]).

    4. Offer a simple way for him to give you an answer.

    5. Be VERY aware that your email is equivalent to a resume (curriculum vitae). How the email appears is how you appear. If its sloppy, then you're sloppy, and your website is sloppy. It must be professional, have no typos, or grammar errors. Proofread!

It is best to create a template that you can use anytime a situation occurs in which you need to request to use another business' material. And in that template there should be a simple multiple choice section.

If you've done all of the work for the prospect then you have a much higher chance of getting the response. Remember, you're the one infringing on his time.

Why should he have to spend extra time out of his day to respond to you? He doesn't need you. You need him.

So give him every reason to respond.

His minutes wasted = unlikely response. His seconds wasted = very likely response.

Minutes and seconds are a large margin apart.

How to Boost Your Affiliate Marketing Business Using PPC
PPC stands for Pay Per Click and, as reported in Forbes magazine, accounts to 2 billion dollars a year. This has a good chance of increasing to about 8 billion dollars by 2008. PPC is one of four types of search engines and a very cost effective way of targeting internet advertising. If you want to know how PPC works and what the advantages are, read on.How does a PPC search engine work?A PPC search engine makes listings and ranks them based on how much a website owner is happy to pay for every potential click. Advertisers are in competition with each other to beat each other's ranking and move closer to the top of the search engine page. They use specific phrases or keywords. The advertiser who is willing to pay the most will have his site ranked number one in the PPC search engin

    Personal Image and Your Business
Most people are attached to their sense of image and style, as we are being fed daily by magazines and TV shows, how fashion and style are expressions of individuality. However, being too attached to what is deemed your individual style, will lead you to using your image ineffectively to build your business.Whether you agree with it or not, people judge others by how they look. Therefore, personal image may be used to create trust at first sight. So it must be well thought out with much care.I have given image seminars where I see people in conservative industries such as finance wearing tops revealing their cleavage, even though they are in a suit. I have seen a career coach wearing an outfit that is more suitable for an artist. Their images are not congruent with their profession

Why Becoming A Myspace Whore Can Make You Money
Ok, it’s not exactly flattering to be called a whore, but who cares when you’re making money, right? Before you send me hate mail or report me to the local authorities, let me explain myself a bit further. The term that I’m referring to is “myspace whore”. If you haven’t heard it than I really do apologize for exposing you to such an inappropriate phrase, but if you know anything about Myspace.com, then you know that that quote is thrown around like tator tots in a food fight. However, the definition of myspace whore isn’t as bad as it sounds. Basically, it refers to a member who has an enormous list of “friends” most of whom he or she has no personal relation with. In other words it means someone who likes to network with as many people as they can. Whether i

    Home Sweet Home Page
“Your home page is the world’s introduction to you and your company. Make it COUNT!” – Heidi RichardsThink of your home page as the cover of your brochure. It features exciting information about your company, but like a brochure it must be opened to reveal the rest of the message. It is connected to other pages in a way that allows other visitors to your site to move from one page to another by clicking on the highlighted text or images.Getting your home page up and running on the Internet requires design, operations, and the update of your information. Many Internet Service Providers offer home page construction for free, often with a standard format in their “host” package. This is an inexpensive way to get up and running more quickly on the Internet. In the beginning, it m

    ------------------------ End of Template ------------------------

See how easy that makes it for the prospect?

All he has to do is take a couple of seconds to reply and he'll be rid of you for good (hopefully). :P

The prospect has no real hassles with having to take much time to think up how to word a reply.

    It's all done for him.

And should the prospect need to check things out before he can give you a final answer, be certain to send the prospect a follow-up email (like the template above) 1-7 days after you receive the prospect's answer.

The follow-up email can sit in his email box and be available to him when he does finally have the answer to your question.

Remember, the more your prospects have to think or work, the less chance you'll have of receiving that reply. Ever.

Do as much of the work as you can for them.
