    The Marketing Power Of Postcards
My first experience of the power of a postcard came when I decided to print up a couple postcards on my personal printer and hit the streets to start my marketing campaign. These cards were just black ink on yellow paper, nothing fancy. I distributed approximately 50 cards to different business owners at a busy business community. I chose businesses because I thought they were my greatest prospects, since I was in the graphic design and printing business.I must confess that it was not easy, but I was motivated simply because there were no other alternatives for me at the time. It was more of a survival situation for me.

Branding Fiasco -- Better Be Who You Say You Are!
Our experience as customers offers great instruction into the concept of branding. Come with me on a recent “experience” and you’ll see what I mean. Here’s the situation:I want to order an 800 number. On my AT&T bill is a customer services number. I call it. A voice mail gives four options. None of which I want. Just TRY to get a representative. I am instructed to dial another number. I am given three options. Hit 0 for operator and the disembodied voice says I have called after hours. The hours are 7am - 10-pm Monday- Fri. Eastern Standard Time.Fine. It is now 4am Monday in California. They should be open. By 4

Think about the physical surroundings, size of the business, management style, social atmosphere and whether it's for-profit or non-profit. To help you out, think about the questions below.

Workflow Management Software: Businesses are Getting into the Flow
Ah, the ebb and flow of work. Sometimes it seems like there is much more ebbing than flowing with all of the workflow, the deadlines, the projects and presentations, but overall the tide seems to constantly be flowing in and out, in and out, in and . . . sorry. Recently a friend returned from a cruise in the Bahamas and commented that he still felt that he was ebbing and flowing as if he were still on water. Many times I have felt the same way after a long day of incoming projects and outgoing reports. But I am not alone. Recent business studies have shown an increasing need for some kind of workflow management software to enable mo

          Six Sigma Audit
Six Sigma methodology is not a self-sustaining management tool perhaps unlike other technologies. It can only deliver the results subject to multiple variables and inputs such as deployment intensity and culture. Nonetheless, the results take around 4-6 months to show, depending on the projects selected and adherence to the tenets of the methodology. The Six Sigma audit process does not depart too much from the assessment process of the deployment, in order that implementation status is checked for its effectiveness. The audit procedure dwells on questionnaires and checklists which help auditors evaluate the status of respect

Relationship Between the Brand Strength and Customers' Loyalty at Different Involvement Levels
One of the first references in the realm of branding was presented by Robinson (1933), who maintained that it is possible to sell to different target audiences a variety of brands of the same product that are similar to one another. The reason is that they are different in quality, have different names, and bear different labels. Since this historical reference, branding has become a major marketing domain. In recent years, branding has been transformed from a means of identifying merchandise into a main element in the strategy of organizations. The changes in the perception of branding and the recognition of the importance of the n

          • Where is your job located?
          • What words would you use to describe your dream job and work environment?
Write down your thoughts. If it helps, find a good listener who will also help you "think out loud." Describe your dream job on a blank sheet of paper.
          • Do you have the skills, right now, to get your dream job?
          • Is this type of work available in the area you live or where you plan to live? How do you know?
          • In reality, are you currently qualified for the work you described above?
          • If your answer is "No" to any of these questions, consider the most important qualities of your dream job that you might find in other types of work.
