Reading the Want Ads--Not for Jobs--For Information
What? Want ads are where job announcements are, not information!Wait! Job want ads are full of information if you know what to do and how to use them.Doubtful? Here are some ideas of the kinds of information you can find as a job seeker. They are:1. Start by looking for the ads that are in the category of jobs you want to apply for. Cut and paste these job announcements on paper for later viewing.2. Read the rest of the ads carefully to see if there are other jobs advertised from the same places that you have selected from your own selection. If there are any, that will give you an idea of what this company is doing.

It's no great secret! No great secret that is, unless you haven't discovered what many seasoned webmasters and just plain ordinary folks have found out."There's gold in them there blogs!"Yours for the mining, or we should say writing. Many people have discovered and are benefiting from the connection between blogs and Google Adsense. A lucrative connection that's earning them extra money each month as they receive their checks from Google. It's putting a big smiiiiiiile on their faces. What's even more amazing, all this can be set up at zero-cost to anyone who can use a cursor. It's a totally free system that can e
“The Money is in the List”

You’ve probably read that statement or heard it thousands of times if you have been in, or even just exploring, the business of marketing on the internet for more than about a week. It’s clich?, but it’s also true. Long-term marketing success and profitability is much more likely with a good, strong, well-developed mailing list. It increases conversion rates and customer profitability through repeat sales opportunities, either directly or through affiliate commissions.

With that said, the question then becomes how to build a good list. To do that, we need to think about the composition of a good mailing list. There are different ways names get on a list, and therefore they have different values as customers and prospective customers. Let’s go through them.

Public Relations Sports Endorsements Gone Bad
Many corporations will endorse sports figures or celebrities to promote their products and services and it makes sense because so often these people are indeed looked up to by others and they will influence buying decisions, fashion and society to a large degree. But what happens when a sports endorsement goes bad? What happens when your athlete has been caught with a hooker, tested positive for steroids or committed a crime? Then what do you do? Well sometimes you do nothing and simply pull the ads off Television, sometimes you can the athlete and sometimes you make a public statement that you do not condone that activity and this irresponsible behavior i

Keep your Business Promises - Online and Offline
Keep your business promises, no matter how small they may be.Sounds like the most basic of business principles, doesn't it? Why then do so few businesses keep their day to day promises? This is something I've always taken for granted in my business dealings, but my own recent experiences have highlighted how much of a real differentiator reliability can be to online and offline to businesses that excel in this area. If you want to make people remember and trust your brand, keep your promises, no matter how big or small.Think about it this way. If your business website promises delivery within 24 hours, but your actual delivery time is 48 hours,

Successful Sales People Know Which Differentiators Matter
Know where to focus. Not everyone evaluates product solutions with the same decision criteria. When sitting toe-to-toe with a prospective client, how well do you answer the question, “What sets you apart from your competitor?”Tom Snyder, vice president of Huthwaite – the creators of SPIN Selling – says in the audio book, “Sound Advice on Sales Strategies,” that professional sales people often have trouble articulating what makes their offerings unique.“In this day and age,” he says, “it’s all about creating customer value, and that means more than just explaining what your product can do that no one else’s can.“Snyder says the answer

How to Find Your Competitive Advantage
Let’s start with a working definition. Your competitive advantage is the benefit of your company which answers a target market’s want or a need, and which you provide better than your competition.Competitive advantage can be any of a number of things, but it usually boils down to three basic categories—better price, better service, or better value. So why do you need to find your competitive advantage? One of the biggest dangers to small business success is lack of differentiation, or being the same as everyone else. Why would customers buy from you if you’re exactly the same as every other company that provides your product or service? Why woul
ithout any kind of filter or screen. Imagine just being given a list of names and email address of people which have nothing specific in common. Unless you’re a spammer (and I hope you aren’t) the value of this kind of list is practically zero.

How do you promote and sell to these people? It’s a hit or miss prospect at best. You conversion ratio is going to be extremely low. That means your profitability per member of your list is going to be low as well.

Lists of this kind are practically worthless. It amazes me that anyone would even think to develop one this way - perhaps by purchasing leads - but it happens.

Subject Qualified The next step up the chain in terms of list member quality is the prospect that has been screened somehow based on the niche you operate in and the type of product or products you will be marketing to them. This sort of list is going to be much more responsive than one based on random inclusion. At least you know these people have an interest in the subject matter you are covering. That means better conversion and per prospect profitability.
