As a customer I just love giveaways as I have a shopping list of internet marketing products that sound interesting but I really don't need or want to buy. However if someone is giving them away then I will gladly accept them for a curious squiz and keep them for later use.

OK these giveaways are usually a two edge sword on that there is a downside to accepting the free gift. One if they are not careful becomes overwhelmed by large volume of emails as the drawback of giveaways is that you have to join other people's email lists. No wonder people use throw away email addresses, which they delete after they have received the giveaway gifts. So as an Internet Marketer you might gets heaps of sign ups to your lists but how many are genuine future customers and how many are just freebie seekers? You also need to do some sort of test run after the giveaway has finished to clean up your list of bounced and deleted email addresses. Wouldn't it be great to only get responsive names and email addresses on one's list?

Now unless I know the product and it's value or trust the Internet Marketer selling the product then they have no chance of me buying the OTO at any price especially if they expect me to make a decision on the spot. I might be wrong in that other customers are more compulsive buyers and less organized that I am. So therefore if an Internet Marketer wants more responsive customers on their list then they need they need to work out a way of giving the freebie seekers what they want but only capture the names and email addresses of potential future buyers.
