    Online Advertising Secrets Exposed
An overview of online advertising ...Online advertising can be a very cost-effective solution to promote your business or product. There are many different types and although many can give you good exposure for your money, some can lose you money very quickly if you do not know how to do it properly. Online advertising is not the same as offline advertising. It is in many ways a much more direct medium than TV or magazines. If someone is looking at a web page that you are advertising on, then it is because they have chosen to go to that page. Of course it could be that they are just surfing around, but people these days tend to be more web savvy and targeted in what they are looking for and in the sites that they look at. Most people now use more targeted searches and so if you target your advertising well enough so that it appears in places that are highly relevant to your site, then it is quite likely that you will get a good result. There are many different types of online advertising such as, pixel advertising, ezines, banner ads, article marketing, for

    The Cold Calling Conspiracy
A conspiracy exists in the world of selling. A cold calling conspiracy. What I’m talking about is the requirement by most sales organizations to make cold calls on your time and at your expense. They say that cold calls equal appointments equal sales, but that’s not true anymore. All sales managers are guilty of teaching it, believing it, and using it. “Increase your activity and increase your income” are the mantra. We’re told to do the sales math to “motivate” ourselves. Have you heard this one? “If you make five hundred dollars commission per sale and it takes five appointments to get the sale and twenty calls to get an appointment, then each cold call is worth five dollars in your pocket.”Did anyone ever really believe this?Hey boss, put your money where your mouth is! If that were really true, companies would pay us the five dollars per call! They don’t because that equation never works in the real world... for anyone. The simple fact is that we are only paid for completed sales, not for attempts. Directing salespeople
To start and operate an Internet business you may need to follow these steps:

Choose and Research a Niche Market For A Product or Service

A niche market is one that you may have expertise in from your work, hobby, travel, etc., experience. If you come up with a product that anyone can buy in a grocery store or a hardware store, you are NOT in a niche market. If you know all about the breeding of moles and you write an ebook on the subject, you ARE in a niche market.

A niche market can be targeted. For example, I give a free table away on resolving defects during the manufacturing of ceramics. I know the market world-wide so I can hit it, not that it does me much good, but it does help those who need help with ceramic manufacturing problems.

My table is so good that nobody buys the ebook that I wrote on the subject. That is called "putting yourself out of business," but my friends like the table and I am not going to charge for it because what would I do with the money anyway? Besides, ceramic people are used to getting free

Coupons, Maps and Other Advertising Rip-Offs
Every community has 'em. Fast talkers who roll into town with a clever idea to sell to people in business. Many times the ideas are clever and cute but you should weigh the ups and downs of every offer before you dig out the checkbook. Most of these in-town-for-a-day people want their cash up front. Some of the common ways to separate you from your cash are:Coupon BooksThey offer to put you in a giant coupon book to be sold for the needy charity or Lions Club. Books are sold on the phone for $29 and delivered by the Boy Scouts. Watch out for errors and missing expirations once the operation has moved to another town.Telephone Book CoversThey wrap around the book and the callers see your ad every time they reach for the book. Might be OK if you own the wrecker service, locksmith or funeral home, but run the other way if you have a grocery, Mickey Dees, or bank.City MapsYour ad goes somewhere around the edge of the map. You might get pitched by several companies. Some look better than others, most are very pricey. Pick up m

    Affiliate Motivation...
One thing I am constantly seeing with Affiliates is their lack of motivation. At first they are all about, trying to get out there, making it their number #1 goal. They join as many groups, affiliate channels, buy as many books as they can and get sucked into every offer they see, your favorites are probably boggled with everything you have signed up for or are interested in knowing more about. So, guess what? They are now officially overwhelmed, they have no idea where to turn, how to react and so guess what happens? They stop, go on to their next desperate ploy to creating wealth online. I hate seeing that, it makes me sad. I know their is a way around the system of Internet Marketing. It's really not that hard. I have written about it before. I have initialized a checklist on what to do & not to do. I have even thought about it in even more depth. There are ALOT of niches out there. Yet I see the same pattern, everyone is trying to follow someone else's module. It doesn't work that way. You have to start with what you know. There are people out t

    Designing For Small Customers
In this article we are going to skip the designing tools and focus in the procedure we follow when creating a Design by Order (for example a mascot design). We do everything via internet, communication, payment, sending files… this is our business model, the one we will be talking about here.Contacting the ClientOk, if you don’t have the luck of being contacted, the first thing to do would be contacting the client (of course that you can’t send SPAM), if you notice someone needs a design send him a personalized email, explaining how do you know what he needs and offering gently your services. A good idea is to hire someone you trust to be a salesman. In our case clients generally contact us through our contact form.I estimate that every 1000 visits to my site receive 5 emails asking for prices, of those, only 1 keeps going. This presuming i have a highly oriented traffic and a correct portfolio; if i lowered the prices I’d certainly get more clients, but I’d also have to work more… which in a long term would affect quality, and we d

SEO - Can a Blog Based on Personality Be Good SEO?
There are very few people on earth who can get away with writing a blog that is based solely on their personality. Usually the individuals who can get away with this have some sort of reputation that precedes them such as a famous lobbyist, actor, columnist, author or humorist. Blogs that cover too many subjects or whose posts wander all over the place are not as friendly to the big search engine spiders. As personality based blogs are not really guaranteed in terms of SEO, unless your own name is already highly ranked in the search engines you need to choose a theme for your business blog. If your name brings up zero references when you Google yourself then you are not likely to be a good candidate to write a blog.Sticking to one theme for a blog is called niche marketing. Remember that a theme can also include different topics. For instance a blog that has a gardening theme could have articles on fountains, growing tomatoes and lawn furniture. The trick is to choose a theme that is broad enough to encompass what you want to sell but not so large that you attr

Choose a Business Plan and Profit Model

An Internet business is a business. It must be run like a business. The Internet marketers that I know have worked very hard to develop their business. Despite that some of them brag that their business is humming along while they are sipping lemonade on the beach, the business does not hum along without their continued hard work. Yes, some things are automated. Some chores they farmed out. But they must know what is going on with the market, their competitors, and their own products.

Your business, no matter how simple and small, should start with a business plan. Simply stated, it is your r
