    Self Improvment Tips 101
Sometimes when you want to improve your business and earn money online, the first thing that you have to do is to improve the way you think and the way your behave...Here are a few self improvement tips that can help you see more success and have more freedom in your personal and business life.1. Make sure you don't become a workaholic. Your mind and your soul need some time away from your business routine. This will help your brain think more clear while working. The best time to get profitable ideas is when you're not thinking about them. They just pop into your brain.2. Create and follow short/long-term goals for your business. The short-term goals can create early success and the long-term goals can create future success. Design each goal so they all add up to your ultimate goal. Don't make your goals too unrealistic otherwise depression and frustration could move you farther away from them.3. Stay away from being too comfortable with your income or life. You should always be making new goals for yourself and developing new sales ideas. The world keeps changing and if you pause too long, you might miss out. You only live once.4. You have to have a coach/mentor to help you improve you and your business. Doing this can motivate you

    7. What Kind of Pillow Do You Prefer?
I like to find examples of companies who offer what the French Creole refer to lagniappe…a little extra. I contend that the best companies are the ones who offer a little extra in their service…something that sets them apart.I found this recently in Nashville, Tennessee.I was to speak to a breakfast meeting to a group there and needed to find a location near the venue. I went on line and “Googled” hotels near the venue to avoid rush hour driving. I found the Hotel Preston. I was impressed enough with their website to feel comfortable to book a room there. The rooms looked nice and comfortable, and I felt comfortable with my decision to stay there. What I discovered when I got to my room was what impressed me.On the bed in my room was a little laminated card that read:“You have worked hard all day…Nothing worse than an uncomfortable pillow to ruin your night’s rest. The Hotel Preston has the answer. Please select from our pillow menu to ensure a perfect night’s rest. Dial 0- We are awaiting your call. Soft, medium, firm, extra firm, hypoallergenic”.As an observer of companies who offer lagniappe (pronounced lan-yap) as part of their service offering, I was obviously impressed. I am still impressed enough to use the H
I wrote an article on the Importance of a Client Contract.  Now, I would like to offer to you the fruits of my labor, compiled from many sources.

These contracts have worked for me in the past - and I have several variations of each to fit a clients needs.  I would also recommend that you take the time and money to have your lawyer review these contracts thoroughly.

    7. Are You an Ethical Person?
A few years ago I attended a vocational school for computer programming. During my last semester there, we were all required to do a speech about the field of computer programming. I chose to do one on the ethics of computer programming, i.e. the industry you chose to work for, the type of programming you did, etc.I discussed things like; if you design programs for a company that produces highly gory video games, and that company promotes those games to young people, do you bear any responsibility for violent behavior in those young people? Or do you bear any responsibility if your programming skills are used to slip pornography through the filters that parents put on computers to protect their children from online porn? What about if you design programs that help online criminals steal from others, do you bear any responsibility even if you don't use the program yourself? In my summation I stated that I felt you did bear responsibility for these things. If you look at the S & L scandals some years ago, and some of the scandals in the big corporations these days, you might draw the conclusion that ethics in business is a thing of the past.I think those currently making their living in the internet marketing arena, and those of us trying to break

    7. Keeping Customers in the Loop: Ten Ideas to Help Employees Sell the Organization
Do you know what kind of marketers your employees really are? What do your employees really know about your offerings and are they willing and able to deliver on that knowledge?Healthcare administrators understand each employee has the power to retain customers and refer them to other services within the organization. However, the act of selling the organization is foreign to most healthcare employees. As a result customers perceive this lack of assertiveness as a sign the provider does not know or simply does not care about the customer’s ongoing or other health needs. There is no better bang for your buck than training your employees to look for opportunities to “sell” your organization. Unlike traditional selling where the goal is to “get your business,” your customers see this form of selling as valuable and welcomed advice. After all, finding another provider is hard work!Healthcare mystery shopping is one way to identify selling opportunities which have been missed. Perception Strategies, Inc. the nation’s largest provider of healthcare mystery shopping uses scenarios which give employees a chance to direct the mystery shopper to additional services within the hospital or healthcare system. Our research has shown that three times as

    7. Human Resource Handbook: A Guide in Recruiting
A human resource handbook serves as a manual guide of all the rules, processes and policies applicable to your employee at the workplace. If your staff needs to know leave and time policies, it should be found in the human resource handbook. If your staff needs to know information about the bottom line of the company, it should be present in the human resource handbook. If you need the medical staff's number at their fingertips, it should also be listed in the human resource handbook. Moreover, a human resource handbook should contain detailed information about the benefits that the company provides to its employees. Since most companies have different leave policies, the information must be reflected in the human resource handbook.Other issues such as the company's stand on paternal leave for fathers, maternity leave for pregnant women, nursing leave for moms, casual leaves that may constitutes to emergency leave should be listed in the human resource handbook. To ensure that your employees will not look at the human resource handbook as a manual for privileges, you should also list out on the handbook all the duties and responsibilities of your staff. You can also include on the handbook about tricks and tips on how to become a success

    7. Flexibility and the Small Business Owner
While reading Ben’s Merchant Circle blog entry for July 3rd, I left a comment that I would like to expand on somewhat today. Ben’s blog discussed the importance of small businesses to the community, particularly a pharmacy from his youth. In my comment, I noted that flexibility was what made the small business owner king.In Ben’s example, the pharmacy owners were able to step outside the realm of profit and make decisions which ultimately improved the lives of those around them – decisions like letting a family in need have some food and medication for free. This would never happen at a store such as, say, Walmart (since Ben references that in his comment, I’ll follow suit).Let’s say that a person obviously in need comes into a large chain, be it Walmart or another mass merchandiser. The cashier decides that something should be done, so she would call her supervisor. The supervisor would contact the manager; the manager calls the store owner. This all assumes that the cashier isn’t laughed at immediately by those above her.A small business owner, however, has more flexibility. Many times, the person running the register either owns the business or is in close contact with the boss. Decisions can be made quickly, and if approval must be sought, it
