Registered Office - Your Key to Credibility
A great and easy way to lend credibility to your company, your products and your services is by having your own registered office. Things have become convenient for businessmen, businesswomen and merchants in UK, who want registered offices. Now they can also get online services which would help them attain their registered office, and also they can benefit the ease of doing it online.A registered office is nothing but the company address that has been registered with the Companies Registry. The company records are usually maintained with reference to this address. This implies that this address is printed on the company letterhead and other means of company correspondence. This address is quoted for any kind of official communication and legal obligations. Also this registered office is displayed on the products of the company. This is also mandatory as per Companies Act 1985.Registered office works wo

    Successful Workshops: Drawing The Audience
Speak of workshops and people generally perk up with interest. It could be a workshop about gaining confidence. Or it could be about being able to find romance. Workshops are big business these days. So, learning how to attract your audience is the first thing you will need to learn if you are to run a successful workshop. My art workshops are generally smaller than most workshops you might be imagining. I am not talking about the kinds of audiences that Anthony Robbins and Jack Canfield normally motivate in speaking engagements. But, once in awhile you might see one of these high powered speakers speaking to a group of people the size of one of my normal workshops. A small group of twenty to thirty is about the size you should be expecting as you are just starting out giving workshops. In a group of this size, you can attract your audience in several ways. Some ideas come from the many talk shows that h
Once upon a time, large multi - generational families accumulated property and capital so that all family members enjoyed both economic and social security. Though there is much political talk about family values, large families working for the common good are a thing of the past and perhaps a thing of the future. The problem is now. Now we have small, fractured families with no common purpose and little common interest. Individuals are becoming increasingly isolated in society. Is there some kind of social organization to provide us that which an extended family once did?

It seems to me that interest based partnerships, clubs and associations could be practical substitutes for extended families. What argues against such informal groups is the lack of free time

Getting Fired: Strategies For Dealing With Getting Terminated
Getting fired used to be something that many people figured would ruin their career.Obviously, getting fired isn’t an ideal situation but it’s certainly something that can be dealt with, so that you get back into the work world again quickly with a minimum of discomfort.Perhaps as a society we’ve gotten used to hearing about people being fired, whether it was the whole dot com bubble bursting which resulted in thousands of companies closing and jobs being lost.Perhaps we’re used to hearing about managers and coaches in professional sports constantly being fired and then resurfacing with another team and have gotten used to the concept.Maybe we’re numb from listening to the latest corporate executive who has been charged with some offence and know that whatever happens, they’ll land on their feet at another corporation once the legal dust has settled. In other words, we know that being fired

Deciphering Marketing Lingo: What's the Difference between a USP, Single Message and a Tagline?
Maybe you've heard these different marketing terms, maybe you haven't. Either way, let me help to clarify the difference between them, because you should have all three if you want to market successfully. And knowing what they are may be your first step to accomplishing all three for your business.Unique Selling PropositionA unique selling proposition, sometimes referred to as a USP, is the one thing that is unique and valuable about your business, product or service? And it must be unique and valuable to your prospects or ideal clients, not just to you.It may be an inherent attribute of your product or service (it's the only blue widget available and blue is the color your ideal customers prefer) or it may be something you create. I created the USP for my business, 10stepmarketing.There are many marketing training programs and educational products available. But there were none I could find t

    How to Make Meetings Work
Meetings are out of control. They've been that way since my first job out of college when someone gave me a book called How to Make Meetings Work. When I could control it, I stuck to the following rules to ensure the meetings were effective.Have a good reason for the meetingSounds obvious, but often overlooked especially where recurring meetings are concerned. Recurring meetings are taken for granted and no one bothers to revisit if there is a need to continue the meetings or to simply cancel a meeting when there is no need for it.Franklin Roosevelt started many programs to help America recover from the depression. Some of those programs still existed many years after the fact when they're no longer needed or fit the current economic environment. Some programs didn't get cut until the 1980s through today.Limit attendeesThis good general management common sense. The mor

Method to the Madness of Training Seminars
I arrive with about 350 other guys. We smile at each other but really don’t talk much. I guess we all feel that we are too good and too proud to be at a sales-training seminar. The trainer/speaker/guru promenades into the room and starts glad-handing everyone. He is dressed in a $1,200 suit with a sequined T-shirt underneath. He lets us know right away that he just never wears a tie. (Suddenly all of us are loosening our ties, slipping them off, and stuffing them into our briefcases.)“OK fellows, get up!” he tells us. “Put down your pens and pads; you won’t need them today. I am going to make you a successful sales rep by changing how you think, not how you write. I want everyone to push away the chairs. Open up the room so that we can open up your minds.”Reluctantly, we start pushing the chairs and table into the corners. Are we supposed to be in nursery school? I thought I was finally going to le
rtnerships, clubs and associations could be practical substitutes for extended families. What argues against such informal groups is the lack of free time to pursue regular meetings. The great irony is that group efforts could help free up time for the individual members.

We can use single mothers as an example. One struggling single mother posts an ad on a neighborhood bulletin board or electronic board or local printed periodicals. She announces a new association to assist single mothers in their struggle and gives contact information. In a few weeks a group is formed and they schedule a meeting to discuss individual needs and ways they could work together to fulfill them. One makes a list of needs and proposed solutions. Meeting adjourns. Every mother gets a
