Buy-In: What Is It? And Why Is It Important?
Until now, we've all recognized that buy-In is necessary when implementing change. And yet we seem to have difficulty achieving it: we've assumed that if we offer people the right reasons to change, offer proven evidence of the change's efficacy, persuade people that buy-in would be in their best interests and reward them sufficiently, and give them the appropriate skills, buy-in could be handled with some modicum of reliability and ease. But none of that is true. As most Fortune 500 companies will tell you, they spend more money on implementation and the problems that implementation causes than they do on the solution itself.INSIDE OUT VS. OUTSIDE INLet's take a look at what ‘buy-in' has meant – until now.Buy-in is sought when an adjustment – often for logical, necessary, or profitable reasons - is required within the status quo. Raising your Profile - Postering
One great way to raise the profile of your club and promote your events is postering. There are two main steps to carrying this task out.1. Preparing the posterA) Creating: Make sure the poster is not too small for people to easily see and read the basic info as they pass by. 8.5 x 11” (normal printer paper size) is a good smallest size as a guideline. If you are just photocopying the poster at any copy store you will just want to make it on plain white paper since that is what it will be copied on anyhow. These days, posters are usually made electronically on computers using pre-made graphics, images and fonts or one’s created by the maker of the poster using a computer. This doesn’t necessarily mean you must abandon old school techniques like drawing your poster by hand if you have someone particularly artistic in your club. Just make sure it is dark enough to photocopy properly.Make sure that the poste

    Trade Show Booth Graphics
The type of graphic you end up with will most likely depend on the type of trade show display you purchase. If you own a popup display, your graphics will be produced as “mural strips” (more information is provided below). If you own a modular exhibit with many customizable features, your graphic will most likely be produced as “dye-sub fabric” (more information is provided below). The graphics you purchase should always be the centerpiece of your display. No matter how technologically advanced or durable your booth is, if the graphics are poorly conceived and poorly designed, your trade show exhibit will probably be a flop at your next show. Well designed booth graphics can turn a mediocre display into a big hit.Mural StripsMural Strips are the cornerstone of any popup display you purchase. These graphics are large, laminated graphic strips that are usually aligned in sequence to form an even larger grap

How To Use The Net To Climb Much Faster Up The Corporate Ladder
Although you will find plenty of emphasis on the way a company markets itself and its’ services, very little attention is usually given to individuals and how best they can market themselves. The reality on the ground is that good personal marketing has become critical in an increasingly competitive and shrinking jobs market.Today, any professional man or woman who does not carefully market themselves and their skills to prospective employers, and on a regular basis, is asking for trouble. Discover 10 Reasons Why Businesses Implement Change
In many small and medium sized businesses there is little or no strategy to improve the fortunes of the organization. This may happen in good times as well as bad and may result from a belief that: If it is not broke don’t fix itThe business is in a niche market with no competitionNo skills are available in-house to make proposed changesThe business owner is retiring – it will be someone else’s problem And so onThe lack of a desire to continually develop and improve the business encourages a reactionary mode within the business, rather than a more desirable pro-active stance. Why is this important? Generally a reactionary organization fails to take business planning seriously and is more focused on resolving current issues than establishing a mechanism to allow problems to be anticipated and actioned prior to becoming an issue. The import of this can be found when comparing or
