Got Publicity? How to Become a Household Name
Are you working as hard as you can in your area of expertise? Are you implementing creative ideas? Are you valuable to your clients? And now the tough question: Does the public know about you? If you’re like most business people, you answered “Yes” to the first three questions, and then perhaps hesitated on the last question and may have ultimately answered “No,” or sheepishly said “Well, not as much as I’d hoped.”Getting your name “out there” requires getting yourself “out there.” This means a very steady diet of first and foremost being visible in the business community, as well as actively “tooting your own horn.” Being humble is not a virtue when one is striving to become a household name. So does this happen overnight? Of course not, but that’s where repetition comes into play. If your name and your accomplishments are repeatedly positioned in different ways, you become familiar to others and that’s when you know you’re making inroads.e that the best training in the world may not be able to overcome the impact of poor management, low morale, unsatisfactory compensation structures, unreasonab
What if Every Company Gave Great Service?
As a customer we have all come across business establishments where we received good customer service and occasionally when that service is great it really stands out. Today even good customer service stands out, because we seldom get that very often. At Starbucks Coffee they instruct all their team partners, a fancy name for employee line worker, to give not good or great service, but Legendary Service. Ask any employee it is a mantra around there. Now that does not mean you will get Legendary Service all the time, but you will see the sparks of it and generally you will receive good customer service. And to us customers, well that is a good thing. There are many companies, which give good customer service, companies such as Enterprise Rent A Car, Southwest Airlines, Starbucks, Fed Ex, Dell and I am sure you have a list of your own. Personally I like Sam’s Deli, but since you have never been there you will just have to trust me on that one. Good custom
Being a sales consulting and training company, clients and prospects often ask if we can measure the impact of our training, and occasionally whether we can guarantee increased sales. While we have confidence in our consulting, instructional design and facilitation abilities, and understand the importance of these questions from both management and training perspectives, quantifying training’s impact can be a slippery slope for any training company.

Isolating training from the many factors that may positively and negatively impact its success is a major pitfall in the evaluation process. Most training professionals recognize that the best training in the world may not be able to overcome the impact of poor management, low morale, unsatisfactory compensation structures, unreasonabl

    PR When Managers Take Control
Things can change fast!Tactics will probably no longer dominate the public relations plan. Instead, when needed, they’ll hopefully assume their properly limited role as the primary means for moving a publicity message from one point to another. But in their place, at the top of an organization’s public relations effort, professional business, non-profit, government agency and association managers will instead marshall the resources and action planning needed to alter individual perception leading to changed behaviors among their most important outside audiences. And then follow up by persuading those key folks to his or her way of thinking, moving them to take actions that allow their department, group, division or subsidiary to succeed. What a difference that’s going to make as managerial public relations is at last applied. The reason why is really the underlying premise of public relations: People act on thei

    Pallet Storages
Pallets are stands or platforms that are used for storage and transportation of goods. They are used particularly in industrial applications like export of chemicals, grains, pharmaceuticals, perishables, and others. There are different kinds of pallets, according to the application: rackable pallets, non-rackable pallets, static/ dynamic and light /medium /heavy /extra-heavy pallets, printers pallets, double-sided pallets, four-sided pallets, shuttle pallets, newspaper pallets, roll cradle pallets, pharmaceutical pallets, reinforced pallets, etc. Pallets can be made of either plastic, cardboard, or wood. Pallets come in different sizes, most commonly 800mm x 1200mm and 1000mm x 1200mm. There are also many different designs that can be customized as per user requirements. Pallets should be ideally FDA/UDSA compliant, UL fire rated, hygienic and easy to clean. These days, pallets are being manufactured using very advanced technologies to make them strong

    Business Success: The Action Connection
“Be patient and calm - for no one can catch fish in anger.” - Herbert HooverBecoming a successful entrepreneur may rely more on perseverance than skill. The development of a business plan needs to allow room for initial failure and financial difficulties. Many entrepreneurs go without a paycheck for a significant period of time as they work to establish a business for the future."Energy and persistence conquer all things." - Benjamin FranklinAs an entrepreneur you have the opportunity to work at solving problems by creating solutions in a manner that conveys both enthusiasm and concern for the customer. The primary reason many start up businesses fail is the business owner gave up too soon. It could be these individuals worked into a grove that caused them to lose an edge in the development and growth of their business or they failed to keep learning.Entrepreneurs must blend a mix of marketing with innovation marinated

PR Power: How to Write a Killer Press Release
I'm what we in the business (the "business" being journalism) call a poacher turned gamekeeper -- that is, a journalist turned press officer. As a reporter I spent a huge part of my day sifting through a slush pile of press releases, all sent out by eager business owners desperate to get some publicity for their latest project. As a press officer, I was the one writing the press releases and trying desperately to get them published.Quite apart from leaving me with some pretty good conversation openers, it left me with a good understanding of what kind of story makes the news, and what kind of press release gets filed straight under "bin". Here's how to make sure your press release is one of the good ones...1. Get your story straightBefore you even think about writing a press release, you need to make sure you have the right story. The fact that you've just started a business isn't a good story. Trust me on this. At the last newspaper I wo
e that the best training in the world may not be able to overcome the impact of poor management, low morale, unsatisfactory compensation structures, unreasonable sales goals, and a variety of other factors. Conversely, all too often mediocre training appears superb when supported with a marketing blitz, product price reductions, or economic upswings.

Despite these inherent challenges, we agree that evaluating training is wise and a necessary process. However, the process doesn’t need to become a science project with empirical evidence to “prove” that the training intervention was solely responsible for the results.

Many organizations want to measure results, but are unable to provide the resources in time and money to support the process. To help those organizations, we sugg
