How to Deliver Exceptional Customer Service
Having been in business a number of years, I’m amazed at the number of people who don’t have the slightest idea of what customer service is. Customer service is not a way of doing things – it’s an attitude.I always love it when company’s send their people to seminars to learn about customer service. All the seminars will discuss the customer’s needs and expectations and the orator will package these ideas as new and cutting edge when in fact these very ideas were in practice over 30 years ago!Somewhere along the line, we forgot the

Nine Keys to Make your Sales Copy Convincing
Would you pay $12,500 to discover the keys to great sales copy? Maybe not, but Brian Keith Voiles did. And he put it to use for Fortune 500 Companies.  You may not have that kind of promotion money, so here are the nine keys for FREE. Be sure you cover all of them in the right order. 1.  Attention Write a headline that grabs your reader by the collar. Fear or curiosity are good places to start. For example, "Avoid a beginner's mistakes in ad copy, and yield 30 times your sales in just 4 months." 2.  Interest List th
When something fails it is human nature to blame something else. When a company implements a software system into their organisation and it doesn’t work the most common argument why this is, falls squarely at the feet of the software itself. However, one of the most avoidable reasons why a software system doesn’t work is because the people using it don’t know how it works.

In a world where we associate technology with progress, we automatically assume that having a technological masterpiece in place is automatically going to produce dividends. This is not the case. Tiger Woods is not a great golfer because he uses the most expensive graphite golf clubs. In the hands of a novice, those same golf clubs will not produce the same results. Similarly, the software implemented into a company cannot be expected to just work without having a thorough understanding of how the software operates. It is still incredible to see companies today, who have spent fortunes on software and then have not trained their staff in using it. In no other competitive environment would you expect to give top of the range equipment to untrained performers and then walk away expecting results.

Why People Send Money To Fund Raisers
People send money because they're in the habit of sending money by mail. Charity is habit forming; giving by mail is a special variety of this benign affliction. When he became involved in direct mail fund raising in the late 70s, he was told that only about one in four adult Americans were "mail responsive" - that is, susceptible to offers or appeals by mail. By the turn of the century, according to the Simmons Market Research Bureau, two out of every three adults were buying goods or services by mail or phone every year. Many purchases invol

The Outside Of The Box Is As Important As What Is Inside
So many people never think about the package when they develop a product. Packaging should be the first thought in product development -- not the last. Without the package, you couldn't even have a product to sell or ship. After all, the package transports the product from point A to point B, protects it and secures the contents inside. The product has to be shipped using some method of conveyance – the package. So, no matter what kind of product you develop (whether it be informative, literature or a physical consumer product) the choice o

The Psychology Behind Those Irresistible Headlines
Do you know how to write a great headline? You should because headlines are the lifeblood of your product/service.Newspaper and magazine headlines are some of the best you’ll see. They depend on these headlines for sales. And since they have about 4 seconds to capture your attention, they better be good.Who can resist not at least scanning a few lines after reading headlines like this:"Attack Dogs Maul Helpless Kitten To Death" "Exclusive: TV Star's Secret Getaway Spot Revealed" "How Attractive Do These People Find

On one level it is understandable, with so many systems emulating the popular windows format, most software on the market today look and act very similar. It is then logical that if you are computer literate and know how to operate one system then it is possible to pick up another by trial and error. In some ways, this is possible, and if we can draw on the golfing analogy once again, it is possible to learn things on your own by practicing. However, the same things will result in both scenario’s, moderate success will be achieved but bad habits will be formed along the way. This may be acceptable to a novice or amateur golfer but not a professional, why then is it acceptable for a professional company?

Even when a company does implement a training regime, the most predictable cognitive reasoning attached along side any training venture is ‘cutting costs’. There are many cases where, a sales manager will have basic training in the software with the intention of passing that knowledge further to the rest of the department. This chain reaction of learning is fuelled mostly by a need to cut costs in ‘wasteful’ training of the entire workforce, but also leads to insufficient and loss of knowledge. Teaching and learning are specialist areas where subjectivity plays a strong role. One person who learns a technical or academic process learns in different ways and draws and retains information particular to his particular niche. A sales manager m
