For My Second Career, I Want to Do Nothing!
    Q. For my second career, I'd like to know "What to do when you have done a lot and nothing really interests you anymore. The things that interest me are not financially feasible right now, because one of the things I'd like to give up is working!"A. People often want to stop working when they've experienced a series of challenges. You leave one career and begin another. You experience a great burst of energy as your second career takes off. And then your exciting new career goes away. Or you realize your dream was not at all what you anticipated.1. Don't think of crashing the career party. Stop

Shelf Company / Shelf Companies Explained
Definition: A shelf company is a company which has been created but has ceased trading. Its memorandum and articles can be bought 'off the shelf'. source: ANZ Bank Financial DictionaryBack in the 'good old days', it took quite a while to create (or incorporate) a company. Yet, people often needed a new company ASAP, so providers of company registration services would pre-create companies and have them 'sitting on the shelf', ready for sale when required.Someone wanting to create a company fast could buy one of these off-the-shelf companies (or shelf companies as
Selling is a profession that attracts hundreds of thousands of men and women to its ranks each year. Have you ever wondered why so many of us become salespeople? After all, selling is ain’t easy. There are many jobs that require much less energy and don’t generate nearly as much stress.

A good 80% of the salespeople throughout North America that spend endless hours trying to convince existing customers to buy more and prospective customers to change loyalties will tell you that sales is darn difficult.

One reason selling is such a popular profession is because it doesn’t require a college degree. Highly successful salespeople run the gamut from high school dropouts who excel to those who fail even though they hold a degree from some of the nation’s top universities.

Another reason so many of us end up in sales is because of the freedom the job offers. No sitting behind a desk all day. No waiting until a specified time of the morning or afternoon to take a break. No specific time to start or end the work day. There’s no doubt about it, sales does offer a lot more

Options Backdating: Restatement: Meaning, Types, Impact
Had a good discussion with a few analysts (financial) and accounting on the question around differences between Restatement and Recertification of results - what are they, what is the difference etc.?1. Restatement: It will effectively rewite a company's books. Dr. Min Wu of New York Univ of Business has a great paper on Review of earnings restatement. Here are some highlights:a) Restatements typically occur when a company, often in consultation with its auditors or the SEC, determines that the company's financial statements contained either "errors" resulting from "mathematical

Price Setting - My Clients Will Leave if I Raise My Prices - Really?
Has price setting been a prime concern for you recently? If you hesitate to raise your prices because you are afraid your clients will leave, take the issue to inquiry using The Work of Byron Katie. Here is how it can work:"My clients will leave if I raise my prices." Is that true? If your answer is yes, ask question 2: "Can I absolutely know my clients will leave if I raise my prices?"Whatever your answer to that, go on to question 3: "How do I react when I believe that thought? What happens?"Go inside and watch how you treat your clients and yourself when you believe the thought. Notic

Computer Repair Franchise is an In-Demand Business
There’s no doubt almost every household has a computer – at least those located in a technologically-powered area. That being the case, a customer repair franchise is a good business.Despite the growing number of companies incorporating computers into their over-all business operation, there is always a demand for computer repair, plus the fact that there are tons of IT related services all through out the modern market. This results to an opportunity to launch your very own computer repair franchise.Picture yourself the businessman behind the premier provider of emergency response computer ser

I chose the sales profession largely because I wanted to work in a profession that placed no limits on my income potential. In my first job after graduating from college, I received the highest evaluation among my coworkers, yet I only received a 5% raise in pay. While I did receive the highest raise relative to my coworkers, I knew that at that rate, I would never reach my personal income goals.

Sales promised to pay me in direct proportion to the results I produced.

While sales does offer each of these advantages and many more we could all add, more salespeople are starving to death than just about any other group of professionals I can think of.

Let’s explore why this is the case.

Just because no professional degree is required to become a salesperson doesn’t mean that salespeople don’t ne
