Why Would You Stand In Line 48 Hours To Get A Playstation 3 - The Marketing Psychology Is Working
You know it's Christmas time when two things happen...1) People stand in line for 48 hours camped outside Best Buy for 48 hours waiting for the latest PlayStation release, or...2) The Internet giveaway fever really heats up - More about this later. The current Playstation mania is an incredible lesson in marketing. But I missed the importance of what was going on until a friend smacked me in the face with it this morning...DUMB LIKE A FOX...Our friend -- I'll call him AJ -- reported this morning th

The Ugly Issue of Sex, Lies, and Credibility - Nu Leadership Series
An intellectual is a man who takes more words than necessary to tell more than he knows. Dwight D. EisenhowerHave you ever thought what makes one manager better than another? It might start with his or her credibility. Good values give leaders credibility. Today’s politicians argue about God’s political affiliation. Politicians promote values like they were Nike shoes. As a result, Americans are now cynical their leaders.Let’s examine this matter closer. In 1998, President Clinton was caught in a vicious sex
A professional online business needs an effective way to collect payments for the items they market online. There are several options available for collecting money each of which have their own pro's and con's.

    MERCHANT ACCOUNT:

A merchant account is issued by a bank and will allow you to accept credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, AMEX and Discover. You process payment just like your neighborhood retailer would; however, in most cases you will be operating a "Virtual Terminal" as you will not have the physical credit card available. You simply "settle" your account electronically each day and the funds from your daily sales are forwarded electronically to your own business checking account. Once they are in your business account they are available for immediate withdrawal, so you will receive your proceeds quite quickly.

A disadvantage to a small business just starting out is that the fees for a merchant account can be significant, and there are minimum monthly charges. An example of the fees associated with a merchant account would be:

Exercise Your Bedside Manner - Temporary Nursing Job
The United States of America is the best country in the world as far as health care is concerned. Public and private health care is extremely advanced and no other system in the world can actually touch it in terms of innovation, effectiveness and general care. It is no wonder then that medical professionals get paid more here than elsewhere. However, that is not to say that there are no temporary nursing jobs available. The demand for nursing is extremely high and there are never enough nurses to fulfil the demand. The immigration

Think & Grow Rich - A Concept Every Entrepreneur Should Know
There is a book written by Napoleon Hill called Think & Grow Rich, which I highly recommend to any entrepreneur who is thinking about or has started a new business. The book is jammed with the concepts used by America’s greatest business people and is loaded with step-by-step information to help you see what is required of you to become successful. I decided to summarize the eight main points of the book because I believe in them so much and if you have never been exposed to the concepts, even a summary will stimulate your thinking and

Article Submission Tricks Multiply Traffic A Hundred Fold!
Article submission was an old trick used frequently by the pioneering internet marketers to drive traffic to websites when internet was still in its infancy stage. Back then, there aren’t that many authors online and since the search engine algorithm was pretty rudimentary, it was very easy to get lots of attention to just about any article that was written. Nowadays, people question if article submission is still relevant as a website promotion technique. What do you think? You be the judge. We will discuss about article marketing and di

Selling Skills: What Does A Salesperson Do Anyway?
A salesperson’s responsibility can best be summarized by the following large responsibilities each requiring separate competencies: 1. Prospecting – a salesperson must always be identifying future users of the product or service and determining how they can benefit from the company’s offerings. The phrase that salespeople use is to maintain a steady pipeline of prospects that potentially can blossom into customers. Just like a gardener has to nurture planted seeds to see them bloom into flowers at some future point, so too must a

    Monthly Gateway Fee: $20
    Monthly Statement Fee: $20
    Minimum Monthly Charge: $40

These fees are highly variable and are determined by your sales history, volume and longevity.

    MERCHANT PROVIDER:

There are many merchant providers who provide you the ability to process credit cards without applying for your own merchant account. A company called CCNOW.com is one of the largest merchant providers. In order to comply with banking laws they arrange to sell your items on consignment, charge a percentage of the sale as commission, and forward you the balance. They charge a one time start up fee of $9.95 and a per sale transaction fee of 4.99% + .50 cents. CCNOW pays your sales proceeds twice a month. The payment schedule allows for payment 2 weeks after the close of the previous period, so you may have to wait 3-4 weeks to receive your funds, however, the transaction fee is reasonable and there are no minimum monthly fees.
