Car Wash Fundraisers and How to Find Volunteers
If you are considering a car wash fundraiser for your nonprofit group then you know you need to get people to help to wash the cars. This also means that you need to have lots of people who are willing to volunteer a sunny Saturday and work like dogs to clean people's cars. Car wash fundraisers are not easy and as Americans get more obese some people are unable to perform at carwash fundraisers. It h

    Writing For The Lowest Denominator
What's does writing for the lowest denominator mean?Well, if you’re writing for anyone else but yourself, you must take time out to think about your reading public. What sort of knowledge will they have about the topic you’re covering? What are they going to understand, and what will you need to give some explanation time to?Over the long weekend we were wrestling with the technicalities of set
That’s right, I said it. Schmoozing is for suckers. And I’ve finally grown tired of people using the word as a synonym for conversation, networking, mingling, small talk and chatter.

So I decided to look up the word schmoozing in the dictionary for the first time. And I found three VERY interesting facts that you might like to know:

    1) It’s defined as, “To converse casually, especially in order to gain an advantage.”

    2) It derives from the Yiddish term shmuesn, or “rumor.”

    3) Synonyms include: gossip, bad-mouth, blather and tattle-tale.

    Change Management And Participation
Related to the topic of problem-or-solution-oriented change is the topic of participation. But this issue of participation is more delicate than the previous one. This is about the amount of space for negotiation around the proposition. The proposition however is something that also needs time to ripe; or has there already been prepared one? Is the path to which the developments will lead already enter

Is Your Business Benefiting From The Export Trading Company Act Of 1982?
The advantages of exporting are clear. Increased exports greatly benefit a country’s economy, because they create jobs, stimulate economic growth, bring in tax revenues, and enable domestic industries to compete in international markets. Firms that export can grow faster, because they can utilize idle capacity, reduce dependence on domestic markets, increase product lifecycles, and simply make more money.<

Medical Billing - Inventory Files For Billing
When you are submitting a medical billing claim to an insurance carrier, probably the most important item as far as the carrier is concerned, is the item being billed. When all is said and done, that item is what is going to determine whether or not that claim gets paid. Why? Because even if an item is proven to be needed by the patient, if it is prescribed by a doctor who is not authorized to dispense th

32 Words That Can Change Your Life
We all have ways of testing opportunities that enter our lives. Some of us just dive right in based on feeling, others walk straight into what they know is right by a gut feeling or intuition. And if it’s not gut feelings or emotions that are the tests of opportunities, it is the logical mind persuading us to ignore those feelings and emotions and test it with our reality of reason. Most of us do not

I also Googled the word schmoozing. 2,272,000 pages came up. The first dozen or so were Amazon links for books written on schmoozing, most of which I’ve read; some of which were good. Unfortunately, schmoozing is a word that carries with it certain stereotypes. And I don’t think I’m alone here, but, here’s what I picture when I imagine a “schmoozer”:

  • Someone who’s kissing ass
  • Someone who’s got a hidden agenda
  • Someone who’s only talking to me to get what they want
  • Someone who’s “working the room” (an
