    Stress causes more illnesses than any one realizes. It prevents us, immobilizes us and takes years from our lives. How can we destroy this villain?

    A lot of what we do is out of conscious thought, habits, and learned behaviors. Stress comes in like a demon and tells us we’re no good, it plays havoc on our blood pressure, heart rate and gives us many different forms of fear.

    How can we try to overcome this destroyer, stress? We can’t eliminate it, to some degree, a little stress is good. When it comes and consumes us, try the following:

    1. Positive thought, do not compromise the value of you. Do not let relationships, death of a loved one, your job or what ever situation your in, destroy who you are.

    2. Realize you can not be happy all the time. Try to understand feelings. In some cases, it’s human to feel sad, lonely, depressed, angry. They are emotions, it’s acceptable to feel them and express them. Crying, helps to get out emotional stress. Getting angry, builds courage and helps you take action.

    3. Positive conflict resolution helps people communicate. Tell someone you love, your story (your dog can be your loved one). When a situation needs to be released, release it. Built up emotions, builds up stress.

    4. Get out of the house, or go to the house and sleep. Balance your life's activities.
