Is it easier for a single person to find God?

Judging from your own situation, you can guess that a single person probably has more free time than a married person. Family responsibilities—especially caring for and supervising children—can take up much of the day. And yet singles often find their lives consumed with busyness too.

In the United States, unmarried and single people age 15 and older account for 43 percent of all residents, or 95.7 million people, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. And of that total, 28.8 million singles live alone. Across the globe, millions more singles live by themselves.

But are all those single people who live alone pursuing God? Only they know for sure. Many who are on a spiritual quest don’t attend church regularly or at all. They may fall through the cracks in surveys or census reports because they choose not to answer such questions or don’t identify with any religious group.

Think for a moment how you spend your time. Most of us spend eight to ten hours a day working and commuting. We sleep seven or eight hours a night. The Upside of Failure - Making Holes in the Broad Side of the Barn
Jack is a champion archer. He learned his skill on the family farm, shooting arrows hour after hour, day after day, at a target that hung on the side of the barn. After a crowd-wowing performance at the State Fair one summer, a local TV interviewer asked him how he acquired such amazing skill. "Well," Jack drawled, "First you got to learn to keep your eye on the target. And then you got to make a whole lot of holes in the broad side of the barn."In those two simple sentences, Jack spoke volumes about what it takes to be a success. Know what you dream is, and be wil

3 Asset Protection Mistakes That Could Cost You A Fortune
JOINT TENANCIESMany people believe that their property is protected if they and their spouse own everything as joint tenants in common with right of survivorship. Unfortunately, this is not the case. The premise behind Joint Tenancy is that a creditor of one of the joint tenants can only reach that person's interest in the property. The only real "protection" gained by this form of ownership is that a creditor can't attach the other person's interest in the property. For example, if a husband has an issue with a creditor only his wife's half of the ass

Whether you’re single or married, you must make time for a relationship with God, and how much time you set aside shows how much importance you place on that part of your life. But there is a solution. In his short book, 'The Practice of the Presence of God', a seventeenth century French Carmelite known as Brother Lawrence revealed how to pursue God in even the busiest of days.

Brother Lawrence served as a kitchen helper in the Discalced Carmelite priory in Paris, from 1640 to his death in 1691. Cooking meals for 100 friars, using open fires and brick ovens, he vowed that he would not be so consumed with his duties that they would push God out of his life. So he talked to God constantly throughout the day.

No matter how busy you are, you can also adapt Brother Lawrence’s simple strategy to focus your life on God. The first step, of course, is to re-commit yourself to this most important of all relationships. Then, start talking to God throughout the entire day. These short conversations may not seem like prayers, but they are. Thank God for your job and the income it provides. Ask for his guidance before making decisions. The
