This is the last in my series of articles, on this, one of the most, if not the most important Bible stories and events ever recorded. Whatever the detractors may, or may not, say about what I have written here they cannot remove the Truth of the fact that the traditional Israelite/Jewish Holy Days were, and still are, an indelible part of this time of year - The Passover and Feast of Unleavened Bread with its three Sabbath days. These detractors are also prone to forgetting that The Lord Jesus Christ was the Passover Lamb. He was also The Passover Lamb to end all Passover lambs i.e. the end of all animal sacrifices - an Israelite/Jewish ritual going back to the time of the Exodus from captivity in Egypt. Furthermore, the other thing the men of religion forget, and in many cases deliberately want to forget, is the fact that The Lord Jesus Christ was himself a Jew - a Jew of the Royal Line of Judah - not a Canaanite Jew - as were most, if not all, of the Jews in Judea in the first century. (I will be covering the Canaanite Jew issue in another article later.)

As promised, I will now explain the remaining Scriptures in Mark's account.

Mark16:4 And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great. 5 And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted.

In verse 5 it looks as if we have a confliction with Matthew's account, but this is not the case, it's just the end result of yet more tampering with God's Holy Word making it look as if there is a confliction. The Greek word used here for 'entering in' - eiserchomai can mean 'came unto' which then agrees with Mathew's account. As they 'came unto' the Sepulchre they saw the angel sitting there as described in Matthew. They entered the sepulchre afterwards but the sighting of the angel was outside, not inside. Another 'detail' recorded here is the idea that the angel was sitting to the right - to the right of what we may ask? The answer to this question is again in the Greek rendering:

The other thing we need to ask ourselves is this, would these fearful women upon sight of the door rolled away, walk as bold as brass straight into the tomb without so much as a moments hesitation? I will leave you to answer that one.

Now why has this verse been written this way? That's easy, because those translating it were men of the intellect only, with an intellectual religious agenda - an agenda 'of men' instead of being the agenda 'of God'? With this excellent example we can clearly see their Spiritual blindness in action and it's just the same kind of blindness that caused them to miss the real issues in the story of the road to Emmaus. It's just as if the Pharisees were doing the translating, dotting all the 'i's and crossing all the 't's of details that in reality are an irrelevance or don't even exist. They are reading these manuscripts as carnal minded men not as Spirit led believers and sons of God.

Whilst we're on the subject of the Pharisees it is also worth noticing that in Matthew's account, Matthew 27:59-66, these so called upright righteous men of religion came to Pilate on the Sabbath - the day after the preparation - a High Day Sabbath to discuss the business of securing the tomb. This would and did constitute a breaking of many Sabbath rules including the act of travelling to see Pilate - so much for their 'righteous' Sabbath law keeping. Remember how these hypocrites tried to accuse The Lord of breaking the Sabbath? These acts of theirs were a classic example of, "don't do as we do, just do as we tell you" - sound familiar!? If you've ever been a member of a graceless cult or a legalistic 'church' demon-ination, it should sound very familiar.

Back to the Scriptures: Mark 16:6 And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him. 7 But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you. 8 And they went out quickly, and fled from the sepulchre; for they trembled and were amazed: neither said they any thing to any man; for they were afraid.

OK, the above verses pretty well tie in exactly with Matthew's account so they're all very straight forwar
