Just about every day I receive emails from the American Family Association. It is a Christian organization that makes it a point of sending emails out to let us know just what is going on right under our noses. Of course none of what they send ever makes it on the news. We are not to know about the whole truth. This website has a place where you can sign a petition to stop the evil that is going on. I'm happy to report that it has had big succuss in the outcome of many companies and organizations that have attempted to take away our freedom. It has changed my whole perspective of thinking that I as one person could never make a difference. Now I know differently. Check out their website to be informed of the truth. God's Word is a "just so you know" book of wise instructions. All through it God tells His people to choose wisely in doing good and not evil. With our decisions He gives blessings and curses. It's His desire that we choose the right things in order that we will have eternal life. It involves each and every one of us. As I mentioned already, the AFA gets their supporters to sign petitions which have made a big difference in certain outcomes. The latest one is rather disturbing for me as a Christian. Apparently the Senate is tired of receiving all these emails, phone calls and petitions in an attempt to stop the evil acts that are going on. It also is quite apparent that the Senate wants us to be in the dark about our nation's future. As a result, the Senate is attempting to pass Senate Bill 1 (Section 220). It will essentially prevent AFA and every other pro-family organization in America from providing people like you and me from finding out what is going on. The Senate Bill 1 (Section 220) thinks this will stop the emails, phone calls and letters from coming in. They are tired of hearing from us. So in order to stop Americans from taking a stand for their freedom, they want to prevent the AFA and other pro-family organizations from reaching their readers with the truth. Only large groups and associations such as AFL-CIO, MoveOn.org, National Education Association and other organized groups will be exempt from this bill. In other words, these new rules are being written to isolate pro-family and conservative Christian organizations. If this doesn't bother you then let me remind you of what God says about all this.

"For the land is full of adulterers; For the land mourns because of the curse. The pastures of the wilderness have dried up. Their course is evil and their might is not right. For both prophet and priest are polluted; Even in My house I have found their wickedness," declares the Lord." Jeremiah 23:10-11

Jeremiah was known as the "weeping prophet" because the people of Israel wouldn't listen to what God told him. They insisted on doing their own thing. Today people treat God's Word as if it's nothing. God grieved for them and He is grieving for us now.

"But who has stood in the council of the Lord, that he should see and hear His word? Who has given heed to His word and listened?" Jeremiah 23:18

But to these hypocits, Jesus responded by saying these words. He is still saying them, even today;

"I tell you, if these should become silent, the stones will cry out!" Luke 19:40

This was a strong claim to His deity. The Bible often speaks about inanimate nature praising the Lord. Even if the Senate succeeds in keeping people silent, the stones will cry out for the truth!

I can imagine how Christ would respond to what's happening now in America. It would be very much like the account in the next few verses in Luke.

"When He approached Jerusalem, (put your town or city here) He saw the city and wept over it, saying, "If you had known in this day, even you, (your name) the things which make for peace! But now they have been hidden from your eyes. For the days will come upon you when your enemies will throw up a barricade against you, and surround you and hem you in on every side, and they will level you to the ground and your children within you, and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not recognize the time of your visitation." Luke 19:41-44

Of course Jesus was refering to the methods used back then in warfare. It was a literal seige. We are looking at a more sophisticated kind of warfare today. We are losing our freedom of speach and persecuted for our religious beliefs. We are being hemmed in on all sides. Little by little we are losing ground as people who are supposedly free to choose God. Our failure to recognize Christ and stand up for for God's truth will result in our destruction as well. Just as God's divine judgement was fulfilled because of their failure to recognize Christ in those days, that same judgement will be handed down to us.

Can we afford to hide our heads in the sand and not get involved? Don't let another day pass you by without getting the true facts. The choice is yours...just so you know.
