What Ever Happened to Customer Service? (Part 2)
Whether you’re in business or a consumer, you can relate to the following statements:”Delivery on grand pianos is always extra. So, do you want to take it with you?””I’m not sure about that question. You can call our tech support in India, if you want.””The estimate we gave you could be much more depending on lots of other factors.””That item may or may not work with your current system. Does that answer help you?”We’ve never had a problem with this before. You must have done something stupi

What You Should Consider Before Buying Embroidery Online
What You Should Consider Before Buying Embroidery OnlineBuying simply based on the lowest price is a recipe for disaster. The following are all factors in the final price for an embroidered item:1. The cost of the item being embroidered.2. The cost of the embroidery. This will largely be affected by the complexity and size of your design. Most embroiderers charge by the number of stitches. (such as $1.00 per 1,000 stitches)3. Digitizing is commonly referred to as a one time charge f
One thing I have learned in network marketing is when you have training in one specific company you may be doomed when applying it to the next.

Why is generic training in the marketing industry so important? Compensation plans are different, products and services can be different even the way the company does presentations can be different.

Let me give you an example of what can happen to people’s mindset when they have gone through company-oriented training. When we were involved in a company that dealt in long distance plans, it went under – many people even the ones making good money, quit. Just quit.

Here’s why – they didn’t have training they could apply to any company or business that taught them about mindset, being a leader or how to develop a solid team. When you have generic training, you literally have the ability even if you lost all your money (bankruptcy for example) to start all over again, no fear. Do you think Donald Trump or Robert Kiyosoki would have a problem, if someone took all of their money to start from scratch? They have the knowledge. Just remember, yes knowledge is power, but only if you act on it and take massive action.

Here are some key things to look for in a generic training program:

Talking to People/Leads on The Phone
Learn how to talk to leads on the phone and within minutes get them to evaluate your business. A trainer/mentor should be able to show you how to close people to evaluate your program within 45 seconds. The introductory conversation should only be about 2 - 3 minutes in length.

    Marketing for the Amateur
Not everyone is a marketing guru. Even some who claim to be. But that’s another story for another time. The goal here is to provide some basic help for the growing number of small business owners – many with start-up ventures – who have to market their own products and servicesThe first question I’m usually asked in seminars and workshops – even by some of the business owners I coach – is, “How much should I be spending for advertising?” My answer’s always the same, “Zero!” Why? Because advertising dollars should be an investmen

    Your Goodwill Has Expired
Alice’s prepaid telephone calling card said ‘Expires August 31, 2001’ on the back. She decided to use the remaining value of the card at 8:00 pm on August 31.Unfortunately, the card had already been terminated when she tried to make a call. There was no value remaining. She held a worthless piece of plastic. The telephone company had terminated her phone card’s value on the very first minute of the listed expiration date (12:01 am), rather than the very last minute as Alice had expected (11:59 pm).The company may be

    Going into Business?
Well you have decided {sort of} to go into business for yourself. How should you do it? Here are the 3 different ways:1. Start from scratch. Bill Gates did it. Do you have an idea for a service or product? Hardest way. Biggest potential. Do you have the courage?2. Buy an existing business. The key word to remember is “patience”. Things like waiting for the seller to release his or her financial info, settling on the purchase price, obtaining financing {especially if the finances do not look great on paper!}, and hoping the se

Six Sigma Metrics And How to Devise Them
Six Sigma is a powerful mathematical and statistical tool that has its roots deep into the customer-centric approach. The objective is to reduce the output variation and thereby to meet customer specifications by application of the methodology at the process stage ensures the meeting of its target result of 3.4 defects per million parts. The basis of Six Sigma metrics is the measurement of number of standard deviations between the baseline (which is the mean of processes) and customer specifications. The key to achieving the specified

    Leads
Learning how to generate leads can ultimately save you money and bring you people who are truly interested in your business. They will also have previewed it before you even spoke to them. Let’s face it, it takes work to generate your own leads and setting it up. If you truly want to generate your own leads it isn’t a magic pill. Bringing people to your website is a process, so start calling leads while setting up your lead generations system.

    Mindset
You hear it all the time in those company trainings, stay positive, have energy when you talk to people and have the right mindset. Here’s the Truth. Without the right MINDSET, nothing will work. Did you know you can literally reprogram your subconscious and unconscious areas of the mind to train your beliefs for success and failure? With the right information, it can be done. It’s not just about positive or motivational thinking. Do they teach you how to tap into the right mindset? This should be the heart of the training but it usually isn’t.

    Conference Calls/Presentations
Doing your own presentations over the phone or online can be so powerful and save you time. Why would you want to spend 20 to 30 minutes of your time talking to every prospect when you can talk to many prospects for 20 to 30 minutes once or twice? Did you know ultimately the person who makes the big money is the one doing the conference calls and presentations? This is an extremely powerful skill to learn.

Be a leader. Also not in the typical company tra
