Is it Prestigious to be a Teacher?
After graduation we get lost in the number of opportunities and careers proposed to us by various agents visiting high-school. Some students follow parents’ advice, some of them chose occupation taking prestige into consideration. Only a few strong-willed people follow their calling not paying attention to any of advice, orders and other factors. These brave people are more likely to be successful in their lives tha

Resume Writing Solutions for Your Challenging Career History
Do you have a completely unblemished work history? I believe that a site has to have a purpose, and from there, that defines the structure. There are 5 major types of site (probably more, but I will focus on 5), these being an info site, a sales/sign up site, a blog, an on line store, and a membership site.

An info site is designed to provide the best and easiest source of information for the visitors. The visitors are usually repeat, and have already developed a relationship with the site owner and are coming to the site for information. A good example of this is www.InternetBasedMoms.com.

A sales/sign up site has a specific purpose to either get a sale, or a sign up for a newsletter/report/ezine. It should not have anything else to distract the visitor. All items on the site should push the visitor towards that end goal. This is usually the beginning of the relationship with a new visitor so this is often the first site the visitor sees.

A blog is a relationship building site, building that integral trusting relationship between the visitor and the site owner by allowing the site owner to communicate on a regular basis with the reader. Most of the time the writing and content is of a less formal nature than other sites.

The on line store is designed to offer products for the viewer to come, pick and purchase. This is really a lot like a mail order catalog, only on the internet.

The Spirit of Giving: Should Your Workplace Adopt a Family This Holiday Season?
The festivities of the holiday season manifest even in the most focused of workplaces. Most workplaces have their own holiday traditions: formal holiday parties, lunchtime cookie swaps, Secret Santa exchanges or all of the above. But for those companies looking for a special way to celebrate the spirit of the season, why not consider adopting a family for the holidays? There are a number of compelling reason

    Business Lessons Learned
    1. If a business or an idea does not exist, create it. Create your own future by being open to change. As one door closes another one opens. I've created two businesses that did not exist since I was laid off in December of 1994.2. Be willing to take risks, however, make them calculated risks by taking the time to develop and write a business plan.3. Place a heavy emphasis on marketing by answering the

Paying Attention And Following Directions: Have You Learned Your Lesson?
Pay attention. Follow directions. Do these phrases sound familiar? They should, from day one these two phrases are repeated to us over and over again. Parents, teachers, coaches, you are bombarded by these phrases in all facets of your life. With all of this reinforcement, you would assume the last thing we would do is forget them. Explain this to me then: How is it that when we get to the corporate world we

The Ten Principles of Highly Ethical Network Marketers
These ten principles are patterned after the Ten Principles of Highly Ethical Business Leaders.1. Treat all downline and potential business partners as unique and valuable individuals.Isn't it about time we put a stop to looking at people as if they had dollar signs on their foreheads? Let's be thoughtful and courteous to everyone we meet.2. Support each downlines freedo

Membership sites can be created for varied types of subjects. One thing I have noticed is that aesthetically they are usually less attractive and more business like. They offer content or services that people usually cannot get for free elsewhere on the internet.

Now most people first start with an info site, and try to work all the other sites into that info site. And then the problem is that visitors come to the site and get too distracted to actually do anything. Then site owners get frustrated as they are not getting e-book sales or sign ups for their newsletter or selling any of their physical product. People are just coming to their site and leaving, never getting into the site.

My advice is to build two sites. The first is a sales/sign up site (I prefer a sign up site to start building a list of perspective buyers) that will get your visitors to do one thing, and one thing only. After they have done that, you can then move them on. The second site would be your info site and/or your on line store (or at this point you could try a info/catalog combo as long as it is not too cluttered and the layout is direct from information to product).

Many very successful on line marketers just build sales/sign up sites and nothing else. (or possibly a on line store after they have enough of their own products to offer that). They just focus on building their lists and driving traffic to fi
