Read Proverbs 3:5-6 and make a heartfelt commitment to live by it. 2. Educate Yourself. Learn all you can about the principles of running and managing a successful business. Just because you are a believer, does not mean that you can ignore things like marketing, management, advertising, client retention and planning for business growth. 3. Be Diligent in All Your Business Dealings. Don’t act like some kind of spiritual fruitcake and think you can just get by on a wing and a prayer. The Bible has a lot to say about the vital importance of being diligent in every area of our life: Proverbs 10:4 4. Use a Daily To-Do List One of the most life-changing things that you can ever do is to make it a habit to use a daily planner. You will get more done in a lot less time. It will help you to be a wise steward of your time, money and abilities. 5. Focus on Marketing. I have a question that I like to ask myself several times a week: “What have I done to market my business today? Stop and ask yourself that question now.
These five steps are by no means the be all and end all in business success but they will go a long way towards helping you establish a business that serves your life instead of the other way around… Don't feel ashamed to be a believer in business. Throw yourself into being the best business owner you can possibly be. Determine to use your business to be a blessing to others less fortunate than yourselves and remember to have a thankful heart - owning a business is a great blessing.
