    Background Search Software
Background checks are part of pre-employment screening, pre-business screening, bad debt situations, divorce situations, and many other personal queries. Identity checks, criminal history checks, motor vehicle queries, verification of educational qualifications, employment verification, bankruptcy status, and credit reports are some of the areas that might be checked.Such checks are vital to a business agency or industry hiring a new employee, a landlord deciding on a tenant, a bank considering issuing a loan, etc. Background searches are usually carried out by agencies and individuals qualified to conduct the research. With advances in technology, background checks can now be conducted with the aid of software. Background check software helps verification services to function skillfully and in a timely manner, with the aid of the Internet and programmed software applications. This software can conduct a quick search and analyze and compile necessary reports in very little time. Background check software is available for home as well as business use. Background check software is available for downloading from providers an

How to Make Money With Your Email Campaign
There are two basic types of email campaigns that can be used to make money online. One is the email campaign that uses the list you purchased online and has been mailed to umpteen million times. That list is very unresponsive, tends to generate spam complaints, and, although it may create a marginal return, it is a headache. The other is the email campaign that uses your own, personally created list, and is only mailed to as often as you choose. That list is highly responsive, does not generate spam complaints, and creates a large return. So which to choose? Your own list, of course. But what if you do not have your own list? Build one. That’s right, build your very own list. How do you do that?1) You must have a web site and an autoresponder. Put a web form on one page of your web site (the page where you send traffic) and send those leads to your autoresponder.2) Offer a free ebook or other valuable give-away to induce visitors to subscribe to your list.3) Send your subscribers only very valuable information. Develop a relationship with your subscribers. Bet them to look forward to
Construction materials from the Central Artery / Tunnel demolition and excavation from the early days of the nation’s largest public works project may prove central to the Big Dig’s construction problems. Recycled into project concrete, could the contaminated dirt cause multi-million gallon tunnel leaks and 3-ton concrete slabs suspended overhead to crash to the ground less than 3 years after tunnel and connector opening events? Will the uncompressed Boston Blue Clay from the harbor tunnel prove too corrosive for the steel infrastructure? The slump test of the CA/T concrete might have been too little and too late, similar to the political maneuvers of Governor Mitt Romney to oust Mass Turnpike Chairman Matt Amorello.

Boston visitors and travelers should avoid using the $14.6 billion dollar Boston CA/T Tunnels until a full federal investigation occurs. Significant scrutiny of project decisions, including the opinions of project engineers unrelated to the project or any of its major players should certify the safety of the tunnel structures first. The Central Artery/Tunnel (CA/T) Project, now the property of the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority, needs to reassure the public. We expect answers to these questions about what $14.6 billion dollars of federal and state taxpayer money bought for the people of Massachusetts before our students, commuters, visitors to Boston and the millions of travelers who use the Interstate Highways each year continue to travel the tunnels.

    1. Was a contamination clearance analysis for concrete corrosives and expansion properties established prior to using the stored 4,000 miles and over 11 million cubic yards of excavated construction materials destined to be recycled within the project’s concrete and other state projects?

    2. Were the standards for recycling concrete aggregate systematically and uniformly applied to all materials recycled into this project?

    3. Can the process of application of those standards be substantiated by contracts established with contractors that document review of the requirements for contamination? Was testing of concrete mix for strength and temperature performed by the Joint venture on materials supplied by contractors the only measure required?

We possess memos that outline the Massachusetts Highway Department and Department of Environmental Protection testing procedure of contaminated soil that was excavated during the Big Dig and stored at Suburu Pier and Massport. Four Memory Slips That Can Cost You Sales
Your palms begin to sweat and you avoid eye contact with someone you know is a client, but you just can't remember his name.Your heart sinks as you hang up the phone after a phone call with a furious prospect; you forgot you'd made an appointment with her.You pound your forehead in frustration as you realize, too late, what you should have told a customer that would have made the sale.Have you ever thought, "If only I'd been born with a better memory, I'd be better at sales?" Unfortunately, no one is inherently talented at instant memory recall; scientists have been unable to prove that "photographic memory" even exists. Like almost anything related to sales, memory improvement is a learned skill that anyone can cultivate. You can become a highly effective and well-respected sales person. Begin by learning how to prevent these sticky memory-related situations that you may already have experienced.Memory Slip #1: Instantly forgetting a prospect's name. You meet a prospect and shake his hand. He tells you his name, and no sooner does the handshake break than you have forgotten it. Socially, people

How To Raise Finance For Your New Business
No matter who you are the banks, business angels or government agencies who are lending you the money all want to know that their money is safe.Main factorsPoor management skills are the reason 80% of owner-managed firms go under. So this is the first thing that lenders will look at when considering you for a loan. Before they will lend you the money they will want to see that you have a good track record, the expertise and skills to adapt to changing financial and economic circumstances, a good product or a quality service, good financial controls and ideally growth prospects. Above all they want to know that you have the ability to repay the money. The Business PlanAll lenders will want to see a business plan. You need to make sure that this is completed correctly as this will explain why you need the money, how much you want and for how long. Including cash flow projections to demonstrate how the loan will be serviced and eventually repaid. Both the business plan and the cash flow forecast also need to be realistic.Be CarefulAll lenders are sceptical of over-optimistic forecasts. It is bett

How to Carry Pepper Spray on Your Belt
Concern for your own safety or the safety of your family should be a priority. With crime rates escalating to new highs, and with more low-income families moving into your neighborhood that once catered to the middle or upper class, one must be on guard in defense of himself or family members. If you plan to carry defense pepper spray on your belt underneath a shirt or jacket, position the spray upside down. If you role play with this, you will find that it is much easier to draw the weapon in a downward position off the belt as opposed to upward. Furthermore, position the spray in the holster such that when it is drawn and ready for action, it is properly oriented in your hand in order to minimize its rearrangement.Practice with this several times a day for several weeks so that you can quickly draw the spray, raise it up, and fire it in one fluid motion.Try to become “one” with the weapon. Think of the weapon as a part of your body and not merely an accessory tool on your belt. The more that you are familiar with pepper spray as your primary weapon of choice, the more you will have confidence in its use when

    Tenant Referencing in England
A good tenant is a tenant who pays the rent and pays it on time! When you have found a prospective tenant, either yourself or through a letting agency, it is usually a common practice to get a holding deposit from the potential tenanct in order to establish a level of commitment. This is only first level of security by far though. Then you should try and find a credit reference agency to take up references on the prospective tenant. These references tend to cover employment, bank, previous Landlord and a consumer credit records (showing county court judgements) to make sure your tenant will be able to afford the rent. If you can not get in touch with these credit reference agencies yourself, it is always a good idea to use a reputable letting agency. Most of the good letting agencies in England tend to work with these reference agencies.Individual circumstances, such as redundancy, can affect the tenants ability to pay the rent. Your letting agency can refer you to insurance companies that will give you total peace of mind by arranging to have your rent guaranteed. These schemes make sure that your income will be secure e

The Department of Environmental Protection storage criteria for Big Dig excavated materials is contained in documents we possess. If the excavated material was highly corrosive (pH<2>1.5), reactive, ignitable (flashpoint<140 degrees F) or if it exceeded the threshold level for waste subject to TCLP, a test for soil and groundwater clearance was required prior to storage. This test was to determine if the excavated materials had to be contained in areas with or without a protective liner for months or years before eventual disposition to cap landfills or to be recycled back into constructing the artery as backfill and concrete aggregate.

Testing was done on CA/T demolition materials. The following list shows which contaminants the DEP was testing on recycled construction material. This test was used by the Massachusetts Highway Department and the Department of Environmental Protection in the mid 1990s to determine the levels of contamination acceptable for storage in unlined facilities at Mass Port sites. Some material was destined for use in capping landfills and for use in recreational parks. Other dirt was recycled into the 3.8 million cubic feet of concrete that is the Big Dig. While I am not a chemical engineer, I would like to know if the DEP or the Joint Venture tested for other elements.

    Contaminant Criteria (mg/kg)

    PCB - 10ppm
    TPH - 3,000
    PAH - 300

    Arsenic - 40

    Cadmium- 25

    Chromium - 500

    Lead - 500

    Mercury - 10

The test used was the often questionable TCLP.

If a truckload of dirt (excavated materials from the tunnel preparation) tested positive, DEP permission to store the materials was required. The DEP employees in charge of the permission process were salaried by the CA/T Joint Venture of Bechtel/Parsons Brinkerhoff and the Mass Highway Department. Memos show that, "At MHD ' s request, DEP will allow Non-Clearance excavate to be placed directly into the disposal area without the requirement of a liner, even though the requisite risk assessment has not been completed..." These storage contamination tests were for corrosives and metals listed above that are harmful to people and wildlife.

    1. Were the same tests applicable to determine suitability of soil beyond storage when materials were recycled as concrete aggregate (soil, sand, gravel)?

    2. Could these or other untested contaminants effec
