This was the 911 call of a young woman that claimed she was kidnapped. Upon hearing the call which was actually put out on AOL I immediately realized that it was another fake kidnapping. I have realized after all these years that is not as important to find out why as it is to just find ways to get the subject to immediately confess. It is important to establish it is not an bona fide incident to call off the man/woman hunt and let the police get back to doing what they need to be doing.

This analyzed statement of a subject that claimed she was kidnapped that was on AOL earlier in 2006, was used as training material for my book, THE TRUTH THAT LIES BEHIND THE LIE. It is a very good example of a deceptive subject, and since it was made public and often talked about, I felt it would be a fun one to analyze.

She first says she is in a van, now she says he put a gun to my head and told me to run…now that would be quite a feat! The real problem here is that when a subject tells their story if it is true, it will be in the sequence in which it happens. This obviously is not in sequence so we have to question her truthfulness right here.)

I did not see him…(She is making a big mistake as far as a truthful story in that she is completely out of sequence in her events. How could she know something was going to happen before it happens? She was talking about not seeing him, before she knew she was going to be kidnapped. Her repetition here is attempting to think about her next phase of her made up ordeal. She took two insignificant incidents and repeated them both. That is more of a signal of stress in what to say next. She does the same thing later in the story about running.)
