Online Trading Journals for the Savvy Investor
Online trading journals have a distinct advantage over printed materials. The stock market is a volatile mechanism that changes on a minute-by-minute basis. To understand it, you must understand how historical data compares to changes that have occurred within the past forty-eight hours. You can evaluate the strategies provided by online trading journals to evaluate which stock picks you would like to pursue. Stock trades should be based on sound research. You should be comfortable with the stock trades that you make. The more you learn about each trade that you are about to make, the better your choices. Many stock trading journals focus on the trends of investing. This incorrectly encourages stock picks based on what others have done. This is a reactive form of investing where investors play catch up in order to mimic the moves made by the initial investors that sought that s

Facing The Truth About Paper: What You Probably Suspected, But Hate To Admit!
Losing a piece of paper can cost you piece of mind, a harmonious relationship, valuable time, an account, a promotion, or even your job! October is National Clean-Out Your Files Month -- a great time to face the facts about paper.According to research sited by Abigail Sellen and Richard Harper in The Myth of the Paperless Office (MIT Press 2002), by the year 2005 there will be 50% more paper in offices than there was in 1995. In addition, the average person spends over 150 hours a year looking for misplaced information. It’s clear that the concept of the paperless office is a myth, not to be realized in our lifetime. But let’s face it! Check out the homes and offices all over America and it is imminently clear that using traditional filing methods, the problem of managing paper will never be solved. There simply aren’t enough human resources to make file labels and put files i
I don't know about you, but I have great goals. I don't mean that my goals are ‘better than anyone else's' great. I mean massive. I mean ‘Alexander the Great' great. And since I don't use his tactics, I assume I won't wind up with his fate!

Everyone wants to experience the rich results of their goals-- personal, business, societal-- it's what our lives are truly about. You may be find that despite all the books, the courses and the mentorships that you've looked to for help, instead of reaching your goals, the road is just getting longer! Not to worry, you may be closer than you think-- there is just this ‘noise' in the way.

Do you find on the way to your goals that the road can be out-of-focus or unclear at times?

Do you feel there is sometimes an inexplicable ‘interference' that you just can't seem to put your finger on?

Do you wish that for once and for all someone else would just tell you what to do?

I know, me too. I was experiencing these conditions regularly, however I'm glad to share with you that this has been a break-through year for me. I can also share with you how I made it happen. I came to grips with the ‘noise' in my head and dealt with it-- once and forever. I can't say it was hard ‘work,' since we banned the word ‘work' (because work is only work if you'd rather be doing something else); let's just say it was more like a vigorous game... like basketball.

    Business Cards: The Other Side
All of us have business cards. Most of us have standard-size cards, printed on one side. How much more mileage could you get from your cards by using both sides? There are lots of uses for the back of a business card. Why not try one (or more) of these? If you print your own business cards on the computer, you can make short runs of different types and see what works best for you.Put a map of your location on the back, with directions on how to get there.Print one or more client testimonials, with their names. To repay them for taking the time to give a testimonial, you could also list a web address or other info for them.List your specialties, topics, or other information about your products and services. For example, a massage therapist might list the modalities they employ.Show a picture of your book cover or product.

Branding Counts, Both for Profit-Making Corporations and Non-Profits
While for-profit corporations and non-profit charities have their obvious differences, they have at least two things in common: They need to take in money in order to survive, and they need to connect with the individuals or organizations that need their products or services. With the for-profit company, the money comes from the customer; non-profits, on the other hand, have to seek funds from donors and then promote their services so that the people they propose to help know of them and can find them. For both types of organizations, branding helps enormously. Coca Cola's dramatic red and white logo is recognized instantly by billions of people around the world, as is the stylish little swash of Nike. When the tsunami hit in South East Asia and Hurricanes Andrew, Rita, and Katrina struck in the U.S., donations poured in to the Red Cross, a familiar, trusted international chari

Executive Coaching - The Ultimate Advantage
Executive coaching is here to stay…Retaining the services of an executive coach or mentor represents what I believe to be the ultimate business advantage available to professionals. With the numerous studies that have been authored which provide ample data affirming the extraordinary results that can be achieved through utilizing an executive coach I'm always amazed at the number of professionals who don't yet have a coach on retainer. In today's blog post I'll examine the reasons why I believe all (yes I said all) executives and entrepreneurs should have a coach or mentor.Executives who rise to the C-suite do so largely based upon their ability to consistently make sound decisions. However while it may take years of solid decision making to reach the boardroom it often times only takes one bad decision to fall from the ivory tower. The reality is that in today's competitive busines

Medical Billing - Troubleshooting Retail Sales
In the medical billing world, we have gone way past the days of the clerk sitting in the doctors office punching out her bills by hand and popping them in envelops. Today, things are a lot more sophisticated. Bills are generated via computer and in some cases, the biller never even sees a piece of paper or a form. Yes, we've come a long way. Unfortunately, with this sophistication also comes a lot of headaches. Why? When you're dealing with machines, especially computers, they have a tendency not to work right on occasion. This is especially true on the retail sales end of medical billing, the problems common to which we will be covering in this installment. You would think that with many supermarkets now having automated checkouts that scan your item and register the price for you without the cashier having to punch in numbers manually, that this process would be just as simp

You absolutely need to clean up your game and put that noise in its proper place, or if you choose, eliminate it. You're not afraid of some sweat when you play ‘basketball' are you?

I‘ve had an advantage in solving this particular piece of the success puzzle. For more years than I'd care to admit... 30, there I've said it, happy? I have been helping people make things happen. It never matters what it is -- a new company, a financial system, a customer service department, a marketing campaign, a product, a TV show, a virtual world--you name it, I can make it happen. Creating making plans for partners and clients is truly second nature to me. However with each blessing comes a lesson. Could I do it for myself? As it turned out, yes. I just had to deal with the ‘noise' that is never present when I assist others.

When developing executable plans for others there is an inherent clarity because of a missing ingredient. Me. I mean not me specifically, the ‘me' in the equation. Or, the ‘you' in the equation when you are making it happen for yourself. I know this sounds strange but the ‘you' or ‘me' I'm referring to is the thoughts coming from our minds. Weird, huh?

I mean, seriously, thoughts are good aren't they? Or are they noise?

We all have wondered how professional athletes perform in major public venues, the
