I just joined StumbleUpon a few weeks ago. Thought StumbleUpon was only some kind of community for websurfers. However, this week, I saw a lot of traffics from StumbleUpon in Google Analystic. I did some researches online, then I finally realized we could get muc

Anyone can write an article. Granted, it becomes easier when you have written a few. It is easier if you like to write, and of course it is easier if you have written professionally. But in general, anyone can write an article.

But we all know that some articles inspire responsiveness. Some articles simply compel the reader to click through to one of your links because they want to get to know you better.

Why? What is it about some articles that spark responsiveness?

Here is how to do it:

    1) Write on one topic alone. When someone comes to your article online, chances are they had one thing in mind they wanted to learn. And if you can teach them that one thing, and only that one thing, they are much more likely to click through, to be responsive, to want to get to know you better after reading the article. You see, if the article starts off on a topic about which they want to learn, and then switches to another topic half-way through, they will stop reading and click out before they get to your link.

Are You Looking For A Long-Term Or Fly-By-Night Business?

    2) You must write your article on exactly the same topic as your title indicates. If they are looking for cat toys and your title is “How to Choose Cat Toys”, you can be assured that they expect to read about cat toys. If your article is about how to choose cat toys, and only about choosing cat toys, they will read all the way to the end, and they might click your link. But if the article is about cat toys and dog toys, you have probably cut your chances in half that they will read through to the end. And if they don’t read through to the end, they probably will not click on your link.

    3) Your resource box and call to action must be directly related to the topic in the article and the title. If the article is about cat toys, the resource box should not have a call to action that reads: “to find out more about (your name), click here”. You see, they aren’t interested in you, they are interested in cat toys! Your call to action should be “to find out more about cat toys, click here” or “to get a free cat toy, click here”
