Risk Management Jobs – A Career as a Risk Manager
Jobs in risk management involve investigating the levels of risk associated with the clients, and help consider how those risks might be minimized. The position is quite important, as it provides the policy writers with the information that they need to write an effective policy and determine an accurate premium. They are rewarded for their hard work by the ability to work from home, and often the provision of a company car for their frequent local business travel.trepreneurs are what keep small businesses in this country booming. They represent the percentage of businesses that stay open after the usual five year fall out that many experience. Drive, determination, a voracious appetite for knowledge, then taking action on that knowledge are just some of the traits that you'll need to possess to stay in the game.

    3. Process

When I mention process, most small business owners I work with stare at me blankly. You see, very few have a growth process in their business. Instead, they focus solely on marketing and sellin

    Think About a Nursing Degree
If you decide to get a degree in nursing, there are many things you need to know and consider first. Choosing your nursing school may not be as easy as you expect. There is research that needs to go into it to be sure you get the best school available to you. You are going to want to look into different college programs, where they are located, how much they cost, what degrees they offer as well as information about scholarships and more to help you make an informed dec
The other day I was cleaning out my refrigerator. I hate to admit it but it's not something I do often - note to self, delegate fridge cleaning.

While I was tossing out stale bread and stinky leftovers (some I couldn't quite recognize...yikes!), it occurred to me that in business the things that prevent you from growing rapidly are often found inside your business.

Yes, lack of marketing, poor selling skills and an ineffective model can slow your growth but rapid growth is really an inside job.

Here are the top three growth stealing culprits that could be lurking in your business: I refer to them as the 3 P's:

    1. People

I hear from many solo professionals that they aren't in a position to hire a team - virtual or otherwise - yet they wonder why they can't get further in their business. My business productivity did a complete 360 when I found my first virtual assistant. You see, in order to increase your profits, you must bring in more revenue than expenses. Basic, right?

If you are stuck behind your desk working on administrative or other non-revenue producing work, you are unable to get out there and generate more revenue. There's no question that filing, bookkeeping, shipping coordination, mailings, etc. need to be done but are you the right person for the job? The answer should be a resounding 'nope.'

When you recognize that your ability to produce more (revenues and profits) is directly linked to the team you have around you, your opportunity for rapid growth will simply amaze you.

    2. Personality

Do you remember watching Wonder Woman as a child? I loved it, because not only was she a superhero (when most were of the Superman, Batman, or Spiderman gender) but her fantastic accessories had powers too. Gotta' love a gal who multi-tasks!

In your business, you'll need to whip out your lasso of truth because if you don't posses the skills and traits of an entrepreneur, your business doesn't stand a chance.

Wanting to operate your own business just isn't enough. To create growth and profits, you'll need to think and act like an entrepreneur, which means getting very honest with yourself about how you spend your time, who you spend it with, and your commitment to learning and growing.

At their absolute core, entrepreneurs are what keep small businesses in this country booming. They represent the percentage of businesses that stay open after the usual five year fall out that many experience. Drive, determination, a voracious appetite for knowledge, then taking action on that knowledge are just some of the traits that you'll need to possess to stay in the game.

Why Avoiding Human Resources is the Only Way to Land a Pharmaceutical Sales Job
One of the best business analogies I’ve ever heard compares businesses to boats.Small businesses are like small boats. The have the luxury of being quick to respond, controlled by just a handful of people, and communication is as simple as turning over your shoulder and saying, “Land ho!” On the other hand, they don’t have some of the luxuries that big businesses have. Big boats [businesses] are powerful, they have many redundant features – small breeches in the hul

The Three Pillars of Corporate Performance Management for the Insurance Sector
The Three Pillars of Corporate Performance Management for the Insurance Sector "Change" is the watchword for the insurance sector. Increasing customer churn and pressure on premiums are eroding profitability, highlighting the need for significant cost reductions in the areas of customer acquisition and service. This threatens the traditional operating model as organizations re-evaluate current routes to market and redesign internal processes in the neve

Yellow Page Secrets That Really Make Sense
I was an insider that learned the industry first-hand and discovered what the Yellow Pages was all about. It’s actually about a small pamphlet that began with a few names in Wyoming in the 1880’s and then became a household standard. It’s about a media that most people still turn to when they have a need. It’s about how even the smallest business can compete with the largest guy on the block. But wait a moment. First let me tell you who I am and why you should listen to me

    The Procurement
There are several things that are important about procurement that you should consider. In a business standpoint, timing is virtually essential. If you are like many business owners, the best time is the time when prices will be low enough to handle. This can be quite difficult to call and even more so, it will be difficult to manage. But, when procurement is used effectively, your business truly can reach new heights. What should you consider in procurement?•

Listen, those are key elements to focus on but at some point in your business you will grow tired when you realize the foundation you set is unstable. Consistent growth requires strategy otherwise, you risk being chained to your small business and instead of living your dream as an entrepreneur, you are stuck with a j-o-b, that won't grow without you.

The most important part of your business growth system is YOU (refer to point #2), followed by a great offer, positioning yourself powerfully in your market, creating a system to market your wares, preparing your business for growth, building a team (there's #1) and leveraging your knowledge.

If your business isn't where you had hoped it would be, look inside. It's likely that one of the 3P's has gotten hold of your business and it's time for a thorough cleaning out.
