    Before we get into the problematic issue with the current state of the American work ethic; I wish to apologize in advance for my bluntness and comments in this article. Now then about the American work ethic, it is lacking in many regards and I wish it were not so. Many say that they are hard workers and really do their best and that their generation is hard working and they have learned this hard work ethic from their father and grandfather and they had learned it prior to that from their fathers and grandfathers.

    Indeed this is what everyone tells me, but everyone does not have good work ethic in America and so many who claim to be hard workers are completely lacking. You see, I started a company and built it up to a good size franchise system serving 110 cities and franchises in 23 states. And my comments are what I see. Chances are you are one of the baby boomers and so we share age groups, as I am a “Last Year Baby Boomer” myself. I too accepted those American promises to my belief system and commit to doing my best at everything I do. Work hard and do what ever it takes and yes those are “Lofty goals I guess?”
