Hub You - I Don't Want To Be Rich
Be Results Oriented h. Especially when I try to start a discussion about money. It's true. Money can't buy happiness. And having a lot of money certainly doesn't guarantee it. But I wouldn't say the lack of money has made everyone a whole lot happier! There probably is some relation between money and happiness, but it isn't direct. Michael Masterson put it very nicely in his book Automatic Wealth. He pointed out thaUnlike task management, results oriented thinking produces desired outcomes. This was something we learned over time. We had been reading books, educating ourselves on personal development and business. One book in particular, The Power of Focus, by Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen and Les Hewitt, helped us to understand and apply this concept. We had been thinking in terms of writing down daily tasks and trying to get as many of those done as possible in a day. We then stepped back and looked at what goals we wanted most – our must-have goals. We fine-tuned our goals and decided on what we wanted to accomplish. The book “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill emphasizes the importance of focus and definitiveness of purpose. Napoleon Hill, who spent over twenty years interviewing and Essential Internet Marketing Software Part I I don't want to be rich.If you are considering starting up an online business, there are certain essential internet marketing software packages that you will need. Each has a specific part to play in your business, and can either be purchased separately or come included with the website package that you choose.Forget the design of the website itself. It is obvious that you must have a website, so we will not consider the software required for that here. You will probably have software such as Front Page or Dreamweaver, or even a simple HTML or wysiwyg editor to design your pages, but that is not the purpose of this article. It is the other stuff that you need to run an internet business that we are concerned with here. It is beyond the scope of a single article to discuss them all, so let’s look at the I'm not interested in money. It's not my department, my wife's in charge of managing the finances. I just bring home the dough. It's not my department. My husband's in charge of the money matters cos he earns the money. I like my job. I have to keep working because I'm afraid I won't have enough money. I'm too busy working and running a household to have time to bother with money matters. These courses on how to make money are just scams. The courses are too expensive. Money doesn't buy you happiness. Money doesn't buy you friends. Money doesn't buy you health. This are just a few samples of some of the comments I've received since starting my blog. And it's a free blog ! I've put up information I've learned from reading books, and attending courses. I've even summarized them for busy people. And I have no plans to charge anyone (except maybe if anyone clicks on a google ad, or buys one of the advertised products, I can earn a little bit) because I really do want to share what I've learned. So that started me thinking. I always thought people want to be rich. After all, there's this little saying " I've been poor, and I've been rich. I'd rather be rich." And people are always complaining about how there's never enough money to do everything or buy everything they want. There are plenty of get-rich-quick books around. And the internet's full of get-rich-quick ideas. So why all the responses that came back to me ?Success in online marketing can be like putting together a really big jigsaw puzzle, there just seems to be so many pieces to fit into place. In fact, it's worse than a jigsaw puzzle. It's like a jigsaw puzzle with an infinite number of pieces, none of which will be corners or edges. As if that wasn't hard enough, the box the jigsaw puzzle comes in doesn't even have a picture of the finished product on it. That is why so many people fail at Internet marketing, because they have a pile of pieces, and no idea which to start with, and no idea what things are going to look like when everything is completed. The analogy, while slightly depressing, is actually a very good one, so bear with me as I extend it a little further. Those who are masters of completing jigsaws tend not to start Let's tackle the last few reasons first. I've heard that often enough. Especially when I try to start a discussion about money. And the internet's full of get-rich-quick ideas. So why all the responses that came back to me ?It has been claimed that A-Day is set to be the biggest shake-up that pensions in the UK have experienced in over 60 years but it has also left many wondering what A-Day is and what pension advice they will need to prepare for it. Below we take a closer look at A-Day and what it might mean for the average worker. What is A-Day?A-Day refers to the changes to the UK pensions which is set to occur in April this year. What is the aim of A-Day?The main idea behind A-Day is to “increase choice and flexibility for all”. The government’s broad aim in the introduction of the new pension rules in April 2006 is to simplify the existing pension rules. The rules will affect all pensions including personal and work pensions. In a nutshell, A-Day aims to take the pressure off age Let's tackle the last few reasons first. I've heard that often enough. He pointed out that people spend a lot of time thinking about how to become rich, or how nice it would be to be rich. But they don't do anything about it. And people also spend a lot of time doing things to make themselves happy. They buy nice cars and houses, and go on holidays, spend time at the movies, hang out at shopping malls, eat out with friends... But they aren't happy. In fact, they're kind of broke. And the money issue raises its ugly head again. His point was: it's not what you think that makes you rich. It's what you do. And it's not what you do that makes you happy. It's how you think! They say that image is everything and some of us have seen it all. Have you ever went into a store and just could not believe what you were seeing behind the counter? Is that a real human? Without trying to make the world into a civilization like the “Borg” there are a few things you need to think about in your small business. You need a grooming policy; one, which allows for individualism to a point but conveys confidence to the consumer.Obviously if you run certain types of businesses such as; a head shop, tattoo parlor, a funky novelties retail store, new age spirituality store, adult book store, alternative music shop or cyber caf?; then grooming policy is not as critical. As a matter of fact the more unique the grooming from mainstream the better following of clientele you will What about money and friends or money and health? I've heard feel-good stories about how people find their true friends only when they become poor. Does that make being poor better? The true friends would still be there even if you were rich! You just have to learn to tell you true friends from those who hang out with you for your money. But these same people who claim that money can't buy friendship and hence choose not to be rich spend their time busy working for more pay or a promotion, leaving them with precious little time to spend with their friends and families. The argument holds true for health as well. Sure, it can't buy you health once you've lost it. But it can buy you better health care, medicines for treatment , if necessary. And what money can buy you is TIME. We all have 24 hours a day, rich or poor. Do we want to spend it slogging away at jobs we don't really like, stealing time away from our loved ones, time away from exercising and resting, the very things that will
