No one wants to hear a story about Superman without the kryptonite.If you sound too great you risk the likelihood of people considering that what you are talking about is merely PR and hype and you might risk making them feel inferior. If your company appears too big for them and grandiose then in a way you are telling them that they are not needed anymore. In fact you are telling your customers that we don't need you because we are great without you and that sends the wrong message.Self-aggrandizement is okay if it's done correctly and there's nothing wrong with promoting a little bit of community goodwill or goodwill in the industry through public-relations programs or a little bit of publicity. This is all good and it is recommended in all the marketing books.Just be careful that when you do toot your own horn that you tell the other person why this is so good for them. If you don't tell them why it is good for them they may miss the point and just call you a Braggart. Please consider all this in 2006.

Yesterday morning the Labor Department reported that the May Consumer Price Index aka the CPI rose 0.4 percent, after a 0.6 percent rise in April. This is beyond the comfort level of the inflation fighting Fed. These latest numbers are pretty much an indication that the Fed will raise interest rates on June 29, 2006. So we may have to prepare ourselves for another bump up in August but lets not get too ahead of ourselves just yet.

Now sticking to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit or the SCO Summit, Russia's president Vladimir Putin made a proposal while he spoke at the SCO, he proposed the creation of an energy club within the SCO and mentioned that Russia could actually finance some economic projects pursued by the six-nation regional forum. And the plot thickens.
